The staff have always been very pleasant. It's a small airport. The desk is located at the bottom of the (only) escalator that brings you down to baggage claim. The cars are all parked on the side of the building. Depending on where your rental is parked, it's a 30-50 yard walk to your vehicle. I've rented everything from a truck, suv, to a sedan. Everything has been in good order; clean, no maintenance lights, etc. I've rented in the Winter, Spring, and Summer... so far. Only issue with the cars in Winter is tire pressure... it's so unbelievably cold in Grand Forks that the tires can be up to 15LBS low, but they heat up and expand once you start driving. All the models have remote start, also a big plus during those winter rentals. They include an ice scraper in the winter.... Like I stated above, the cars have always been in good order. 5 stars for great service, being located at/in the airport, and having vehicles with the remote start option.

Nickel and Dimed for gas tank that I returned full. They charged me for that saying it wasn't to…read morethe max full. Well at the gas station the gas pump stopped and the meter gauge said it was full. Then I called saying that I couldn't rerun the car at the time I said and I returned it within a 5 hour window of the time due when they were closed and they said they would not charge me for an extra day but they did. I have never been so nickel and dimed @ any rental car place. I have rented monthly since 1998. I will never rent w AVIS again. I will stick to Enterprise, Dollar, Budget, etc. So disappointed.
