COCKROACHES.. Do NOT go here! I don't ever write reviews. However, my experience here was so bad I had to. My car was totaled and my insurance company had me get a car through Hertz at this location and they gave me a car that was cockroach INFESTED. When I say infested, I mean I would see a minimum of 3 every time I was in the car, with them crawling on me on multiple occasions while driving, causing me to pull off the road and stop driving the vehicle (some of the roaches I killed pictured here). Additionally, the car was in awful condition. Windows didn't roll down, everything in the car was sticky and worn down, gloveboxes didn't open. On top of that, after I drop the car off, I get a charge for $120 2 months later for no reason. They didn't notify me. They just charged my card (they've done this to me before at a different location). The business is run down and run by people who do not care. Save yourself and save your money. I will never be using Hertz again. I'd pay double somewhere else before using their service. It was that awful dealing with them and their products / "service". read more

I just remembered that I had checked into Hertz about seven months ago and failed to write a review on it, so here it is now... Whether you want a rental vehicle to take a well deserved vacation, just want to get away for a while, or need a rental because your car's going to be at the mechanic's shop for some time; Hertz provides a variety of mid-size, full-size, and premium vehicles at a reasonable rate for as long as you need. The Hertz office is located on Pembroke Road. It is small with little to no kind of parking around the premises. The employees are courteous and are willing to answer any questions you may have. The reservation process was quick and simple. They accept debit or credit cards and a deposit which will be given back once you have returned the vehicle. They also provide pick-up and drop-off services if you inquire about it. I rented a vehicle for two days in which I received a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The interior/exterior was clean and was very good on gas. I was a bit sad when it was time to return the car. Whenever they have any discounts on their rental rates, I would be sure to stop by and do business with them again. read more

I made a reservation for a car and went to pick it up and they didn't have the car I had reserved. They told me I would have to wait for about an hour or until a car came in and they would still have to inspect and clean it, which would have taken at least 30 minutes. The explanation I received was that multiple reservations came in over the weekend and the fleet manager didn't bring enough cars in. They had only one other car that was available which was an impact car. I reserved a full size. I had to take that car as I didn't have time to wait for them to bring a car in from another Hertz location or wait for someone to return. They shouldn't have accepted my reservation or any others if they didn't have enough cars. I will never rent from this location again. read more

I had a horrible experience with enterprise on the same street so I came here and the service was wonderful. I didn't have a reservation and was still able to get a car by the afternoon and for less than what the morons at enterprise was charging! Enterprise should really take notes from hertz when it comes to customer service. I would definitely Come here again. The two guys who helped me were awesome! read more

Horrible customer service, overpriced cars I am paying over 1000 usd for a non luxury car. I had an emergency they rented me a car that would not start and when I called a lady answered and she said find the emergency number on the contract! What a b! The cars they rent for Uber are not in good condition and the give wrong registration and plate information. I am making a complaint. read more

Not a great experience. It took 2 hours for someone to be available for pick up and I wish I'd been given more information about what I'd need to get the car when i called. I didn't realize i had to leave a personal deposit when insurance is paying, so i didn't have a credit card on me. They did give me a ride back home and then back to the office, but getting a rental literally took ALL morning. Edit: when I returned the car everything was much smoother. There was no one available to bring me back to the garage to pick up my car so one of the girls from the desk was willing to drop me off. She was super personable. I feel like the people here are good, they're just set up to fail with a seemingly understaffed and crappily managed hertz location. read more

I had a really bad experience here. I was given a car that ran horribly and had the service light on, whenever I called to replace the car I was put on hold for excessive lengths of time (called repeatedly) and one time, I held for 20 minutes only to be disconnected. It only got worse when I decided to just drive over and return the car. Terrible customer service! I will never rent from Hertz (anywhere) again and most def don't recommend this location. read more

They were very eager to get me to rent a car from them when I called. They gave me a fair rate, however they charged me 17.95 for a toll that I know I paid in cash when I passed it. It also took a very long time to return the car. read more

I been a customer here twice; both times under auto collision coverage rental agreements. The manger Michelle is very nice and friendly. She came and picked me up from the body shop that I left my car at for repairs. She always made sure I got the best car for my insurance policy coverage limit (Lexus and Mercedes) and prepared all the necessary paperwork to send to my insurance company. Happy holidays , such disappointment ! Booked car this morning at enterprise car rental, and they called to me with in hour to confirm my booking and mentioned that they don't have cars in stock at the moment but they will work on getting one by my requested time . I went online and found Hertz Rent A Car place and booked car there instead (had many cars available online) so didn't assume they would have issue , well I was wrong! I took Uber to get to this place in middle of nowhere to be told that they don't have cars ! And that they can't do anything about ! WTF , enterprise at least gave me a call to inform what's going , but this low class rent a car place can't even do such courtesy for their clients to give call?! Sorry not worth even a start this location for such shitty service , simple call to client would saved you from my anger at yelp and for me wasting money on Uber going back and forward for nothing. If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is the worst. The blonde behind the counter was extremely rude. Arrived at 11:00 to pickup a car that I reserved. Two people behind the counter, one waiting on a customer, not sure what Blondie was doing at the time but was told to wait. I need to mention the office smells like a public bathroom. 15 minutes later I find out she is helping the other counter person wait on the other customer in the office. Why would you have two counter people helping one customer when there are other customers in the office waiting to rent the car they reserved. No apology. Finally I get my turn to be told my car that I rented months ago, was no longer available. I was told your reservation was for 9:00 AM. Then she said, it's just like a plane, if you're late they don't wait! Really, I don't think renting a car is or should be anything like taking a flight. Enterprise down the street will give you customer service and call the number you gave them with the reservations to check before they give your car away. I am told there is one car I can have. Now I need to provide my personal car insurance card and she has to call to confirm I have insurance. Never in all my years of renting cars have I ever had to provide my insurance card and have them call and check up on me. Next I get a car. I check to make sure no damage other than what is on the form I was given. There are huge black tape marks on both sides of the car. When pointed out, Blondie said, oh, no big deal, they tape the doors closed when they deliver the cars it will never come off. OK, fine, then put in on the damage report for the car so I don't get dinged for the damage. She did make the notation, with attitude! Blondie should probably find another career that does not involve customer service because I don't think she really understands what customer service is! read more

This place is terrible. Poor customer service. Car smelled terribly like cigarette smoke. The manager sprayed it and said that the smell would go away but it didn't and I had to put up with it. When I brought it back I asked for a discount and manager said it didn't smell like cigarette smoke nor the other guy behind the counter. They didn't give me another car because they didn't have any other economy car. Horrible place and unorganized. Stay away. read more

The place is a zooo! I can't believe Hertz puts their name on this one. Long lines and slow service. Oh and very disorganized. It is mainly there for insurance rentals when your car in in the body shop so from that statepoint I guess it is ok but I'll try somewhere else next time. read more
