The facilities all over campus are well kept and beautiful. The staff and teachers are always helpful if you need anything. Brock Hall is beautiful with the high ceilings and grand piano on center stage. Samford has many different areas to study. While many study liberal arts such as music, I graduated with my doctorate of pharmacy degree. Samford also hosts many events so come visit when you can.

Despite great professors and decent academics, Samford is a dumpster fire. They have admitted way…read moretoo many students to the point that simply walking from one building to another as become a free-for-all where everyone has to push and shove past each other. Additionally, there no longer seems to much standards of who they accept into the college. No ACT or SAT scores are needed, and not even a minimum GPA is required. As a result, recent years have seen a drastic increase in students who are not prepared for college and many who have not yet outgrown their high school mentality. In short, Samford has chosen quantity over quality. They are currently far more concerned with making money than they are with the well-being of their students, faculty, and academics. I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my Masters degree in the early 2010s. I have nothing but good things to say about the education I received, the interactions with faculty members (which later led to me securing a full time position post graduation), as well as all of the co-curricular opportunities I was involved with/had offered to me. Yes, parking could be improved on any urban college campus, so I don't think that's necessarily a deal breaker. There was no guess work at all. From the time you turned off of highway 280, there were people and signage directing attendees of the conference. Let's not forget the smiling faces. Smiling faces directing parking, smiling faces welcoming you into the building and smiling faces checking everyone into the conference. Such a smooth process. The campus is beautiful. The building and spaces were inviting. The organization of the event did not make the guest feel as if they were being herded into spaces. You were made to feel as if you were leisurely walking from space to space and not rushed. This was such a spirit filled faith based conference with men simply giving you the tools that propelled them to success both in their faith, personal and work life. The information shared laid a good foundation for those of us looking to be a better leader in our families, in our communities in our churches and our jobs. I would encourage everyone to attend a conference with such great speakers and anything Highlands College has to offer.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for about 5 years now and continues to love it! The teachers are patient and kind and very well trained in handling all ages of students (even adult students). They don't just do piano.... they have violin, voice, and art classes. Take a look and you will find something for everyone. We are here today doing a practice performance so my daughter can get some extra guidance before here big performance. All the staff work off hours because they are dedicated to teaching and love what they do.
