I was there today helping move out a resident. He had lived there for a years. In the last 5 years…read morethe place has become a dump. The septic backs up into the building. They recently lost power and the generator didn't work. Management was aware beforehand that it didn't work. This is a high rise where most of the residents are either elderly or disabled. Totally unacceptable. Today i decided to take the stairs down because the elevators are ungodly slow. I was coming down from the 9th floor. I took the door that had a bright orange exit sign above it. I get to the first floor and the door is locked. I had to go back to the second floor and take elevator down to the first. I saw some maintenance men, and i brought it up to them. I was assuming the door was locked by mistake, nope. They purposely lock that first floor door, because it goes to "offices" . So you're telling me elderly disabled people have hopefully make it to the other side of the building and use the opposite side of the buildings stairs if there's a fire. Also there was no sign stating that when i got to the first floor it would be locked. I will be calling the fire marshall about this. Emergency exits can not and should not be locked. This management absolutely takes advantage of society's most vulnerable

Since we live out of state, it would have been a huge challenge for us to get there to do it ourselves! They were able to empty the room within the week of our initial call and even delivered a box of personal belonging to our aunt's new place of residence! (They even waited 1/2 hour at the new residence before being able to connect with our aunt! Totally above and beyond!) Lori and her husband were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
