The restaurant bar seemed very quiet and pretentious. We didn't try the restaurant, but we heard it was quite good. With a nicer room and more time in the city, I'd happily return. The hotel itself is quite unique, consisting of a collection of historic canal houses connected together along one of Amsterdam's beautiful canals. The property has a lot of character and charm that you won't find in a typical luxury hotel. Service throughout our stay was personable and attentive. The standout feature for me was the hotel's bar located toward the rear of the property. If you're a fan of Old Fashioneds, be sure to try their version--it was one of the highlights of our visit. One thing prospective guests should be aware of is the noise level. Due to the age and construction of the historic buildings, sound insulation is virtually nonexistent. We could easily hear noise from neighboring rooms and hallways, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or consider another option. Overall, the Pulitzer offers a distinctive Amsterdam experience with excellent service and a fantastic bar, but the lack of soundproofing may be a concern for some guests.

He was very helpful and friendly but they probably should have at least one other person working. They had a bakery here, a Starbucks, I saw a small market, of sorts, and another place called Julia. However, I expected a few more options but what do I know, I am probably just a spoiled American... Kudos to the friendly worker who helped me find everything I needed here.

There are no staff here most of the time for ticketing assistance. The only time I saw a staff here, I asked a question about how to show the QR ticket of a eurail pass on "rail planer" app and she doesn't recognize the "rail planer" app. There is a Spar convenience store next to station where you can buy, fruits, sandwiches, coffee, water, instant noodles, and other snacks.

I was able to get so much more sightseeing done without having a giant pack on my shoulders. The employees were all super friendly and efficient, and the place was clean and easy to find. It's half a block away from a team station, and only a few minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Plus there's a bar right next door if you need to grab a quick drink or snacks before your journey!
