On another occasion I was served by a different person (female) who was just as friendly and knowledgeable. Happy that this business has kept going over the years and the changes have been positive.

I mean I've seen fabric shops stocking some of this stuff but this shop takes the cake, an absolute professional in its field. It is huge and filled with a knitters wonderland from needles to patterns, wool in any shade, tapestry, haberdashery too and alot more to do with handicrafts. They take pride in stocking the best knitting wool products from Australia and New Zealand and also Merino, Mohair and Angora. Word of warning: they are not cheap but if you love to knit quality items, this is the place to get it and for loads of knitting patterns for anything. Fancy making a teapot cosy, dolls clothing, craft projects, etc all the patterns and books are available. Plus, if there's something in particular you can't find anywhere even here, they will try to source it.

So Spotlight now have a nice new store at Noarlunga instead of the older one they used to have…read morebasically across the road from this one. It still has all the great same stock but it's just a nicer store to be in and easier to get around and still be able to see your way out. I have bought some great block out curtain material here, just cut to size and hang, no need to sew hems or anything. That's my kind of curtain! I also managed to get some great replacement eyes for one of my child's soft toys. They have some great art and craft type things, and some things you would probably never even know existed. It's also one of the few places you can still easily get the old paint by numbers kits I loved as a kid. You can also get some great easy latch hook kits, which I also loved as a kid. Maybe this is why I like the store, reminiscing on my childhood!

So tell me, why is it they don't stock silk for silk painting purposes, I know that this is also a craft store, so why? I can buy feathers here for gods sakes, how come the chickens are in business but the silk worms aren't? Not only that, the staff couldn't tell me where I could get silk when I asked them. It's a very sad thing that I can't just go out and buy this particular item from anywhere. Other than silk Spotlight has everything, I did notice that their bedding is not at all cheap but they're still good for wool if you're a knitter like me, I can only knit scarfes, but it still counts..
