The Hexenhaus has three conflicting themes. Firstly, witches. The decor contains witch dolls, bare tree branches, and floating furniture.
Second, the train - the main dining room is encircled by a model train which brings drinks to your table. It's pretty neat.
Third, pancakes or I guess crepes. Though they have other dishes (schnitzel, etc.) the emphasis is on various types of savory or sweet crepes. They are pretty delicious.
I've been twice. Once I had the Jager schnitzel which was excellent, and once a raspberry crepe which was even better.
I also got the "hexenschnitzel" which had a warning for being Super Scharf (spicy). I assumed it would be German levels of spice and was right - it was a kind of mild Asian-style chili sauce. Not spicy at all for an American. Overall good flavor.
My son-in-law got the so-called Mexican schnitzel. We were both curious what it would have. Turns out it was corn, cubed tomatoes, and green peppers. Not particularly "Mexican" but he said he liked it on its own merits.
