They kept it for two days and then told her it was just going to be that way. She would need to buy a trickle charger to be able to drive her car. Charged her several hundred for this great advice. Then against advice from family she returned to Conklin due to her air conditioning not working. They kept the vehicle for 4 hours and would not give her a ride home as a courtesy. At the end of the 4 hours they said they were not sure but would order a part to fix it. How long would the part take to come in? She asked. They replied they didn't know and they had to order it from Amazon. ????? charge of $500 Took two weeks for the part to come in. They installed it and tried the AC. The service department told her they installed the part incorrectly and burned it up. They would be ordering another part at her expense even though they are the ones who ruined the first one. The second part only took one day to arrive. Odd since the first one took weeks. She argued the responsibility of her paying for the part but they would not budge. Cost $750.00 Conklin cars seems to take advantage of elderly people. She bought this vehicle at Conklin cars new. An electrical problem in the Corvette was diagnosed quickly and repaired economically. The only possible negative I can think of is they seem to have a lot of repeat business so you might not be able to just roll in and get things worked on immediately. If you want to call having lots of repeat customers a negative, of course. Do recommend.

I told Kenny that I had just gotten 3 new hubs on my car and that it was about $1,050. He first told me I was crazy for paying that much for work that could have been done in about an hour and half at his shop for about $150 labor and that the parts after his marked up was only $200. So I could have saved $700. We laughed at how dumb I was for overpaying. Then he starts working on my car. He takes off the front tires replacing them with new ones. Everything is going well. He takes off one of the back tires and he noted to me that the reason this one looks less shinny is because this must be the hub that wasn't changed. Then he takes the last tire off and then he calls me over to show me something I would have never known on my own. The last hub was also old too. I got the paperwork out and showed him where that high priced dealership charged me for three just a few days ago. He told me flat out that I was not only overpaying but robbed because there is no way that either of the back two hubs are new. Kenny Schwab Jr is an honest machainc and I know he will do a good job for anyone who comes to his shop. You'll get the stright scoop and that is why I told him that I will never ever let anyone else touch my car again. I want to tell every single person I know that he's worth the drive.
