Menus were printed from a laser printer on a sheet of paper, which I don't mind. Four us were provided only one of these menus. We asked for more and provided only one additional sheet of paper. I have to admit, I thought that this was not a really good start. Our order was taken quickly. There was a little bit of a wait for the food to arrive , but nothing unreasonable. I ordered the special which was a omelette with cheese, ham and broccoli. I ordered a fruit cup instead of deep fried potatoes. The fruit cup was nice, all fresh fruit. I'm happy they had an alternative to deep fried potatoes. The omelette I thought the eggs were a little over done, but pretty good none the less. Everybody else's meals received no complaints except they thought the potatoes were greasy. I did taste one and it was like fries cooked in old oil. I'm glad I had the fruit cup. One person had an error that was immediately corrected when mentioned. He ordered a fruit cup as well instead of potatoes, but got the hash browns. Prices were not bad. I'm usually a chocolate guy but with pies, it has to be a fruit filling. But what fruit? Well, it has to be classic like blueberry but also tarty like cherry but also popping like grape. So yeah, I kinda have an impossible dream pie right? Well, there's a little shop in Simcoe right off the highway that makes amazing pies and tarts and other baked goodies. I can't remember who told me about this place, but I subsequently started following their fb page and their offerings looked so tantalizing, that I made it a point to come here and visit. They also serve light lunches, but I came here for the sweets. They have a cute, covered patio where you can enjoy your food. However, during my visit, I saw lotsa locals swing by to grab takeout! It's not cheap (cake slices ~$6), but the Urban Slice that I had was FRESH, not too sweet!
