Just recently moved to Wilson. Tried the hibachi steak. Was undercooked and had 0 flavor. The lady at the counter ignored me and continued to text on her phone for 2 minutes before she took my order. I am SO DISAPPOINTED! I moved away from Wilson a while ago but still visit family every now and then. The last time I was there for holidays, I decided to grab take out lunch while in a hurry. I ordered chicken, steak, and white rice only and my husband got chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables and white rice. We didn't check the food before leaving (huge mistake) and when we got to my parents' house, I noticed they had put vegetables in my food. No problem, I simply took them out and put them on my husband's plate. As you can see in the pictures, I was left with only a couple pieces of meat after taking the veggies out! I had to go grab something else for lunch since it was too far away to go back. Is this the new normal here for about $40-$50 spent?? Not to mention the rude cashiers that aren't very welcoming. read more

Ok for the price, first time back since before pandemic - no longer offer the sauces dispensers for customer fill up, one sauce of choice comes with meal, extra cost for extra containers of sauce, veggies dried out grill not as I remember, however good service quick I miss the old Hibachi 101. read more

For the price of this restaurant the food reflex the value. It wasn't terrible but I've had better. The best part of the dish is definitely the rice. I'm not a big fan of rice but this rice was cooked well. The main dish was not evenly cooked. Don't have high expectations for this restaurant but you will get your belly full. read more

If you are looking for some hibachi that has flavor, than you should not go here. We drove quite a ways to try them. I was disappointed! The steak was over done chicken was dry, the shrimp was ok. The veggies were good. The fried rice lol was NOT FRIED rice, it was white rice with a little soy sauce on it (yuck) . I was looking for some seasoning in the food. There was none to be found. The sushi was good(no seasoning needed) I will not be returning and would really like a refund. read more

Great food and large portions. They give you enough food for 2 meals easy. I usually get hibachi chicken and/or vegetables with soba noodles. The white sauce is tasty. Self-serve in the restaurant, and the wait for your food is usually a little lengthy which is probably the only con. It's always really busy during dinner hours. Got the habachi steak chicken and shrimp....mostly vegetables. Hardly any meat for 12.00 dollars. Also needed a knife to cut the vegetables they were so big. Got the crab Rangoon , they needed more time in the fryer. The steak chicken and shrimp had no seasoning on them, tasted bland the people were very nice but the food wasn't very good in my opinion. Decent, but I've had better. Considering I wanted Japanese and was by myself so didn't want the whole table and a show deal, this place worked. The food was good, but could have had more flavor. I also don't understand the "beer" liquid that keeps appearing in the bottom of my hibachi take out plates. Not my favorite California Roll but its good. The cucumber is a little too big for my likening but it was ok. I could have used a little more wasabi. The rice was a little dry seeming but pour some yummy yummy sauce on it and you forget all about it. Also I could have done without so much broccoli but then agin I forgot all about that when I poured on the yumm yumm! All in all its your normal take out Japanese. I worked here through college and just wanted to Say that the owners of this place are the nicest people you will ever meet. I even remember the owner seeing someone out on the street with a sign asking for food and she came in and made tons of plates of food for him. They works their butts off to have great customer service. So if there is an issue, I would highly suggest coming to them and letting them know instead of leaving a bad review because I'm sure they will make it right. I will also say the food DOES indeed take longer to cook because it's made to order and fresh instead of other Japanese joints that have stuff premade. I enjoy this little place more than bigger Japanese spots like Ichiban or even Kanki....I pretty much always get the same thing. Hibachi Chicken with only broccoli and Zucchini....it's always perfect. No place makes it the way I like it except here. The last time we ordered from Hibachi 101 we received the wrong order. When we called to let the restaurant know there had been a mistake we were told we would be credited for the plate on our next visit. When I called to order again and asked about our credit I was told there was no record of the credit and they couldn't/wouldn't rectify the mistake. Great Hibachi, and plenty of it. I typically get Hibachi chicken with rice, no vegetables. (yuck) With that, they usually pile on the rice and extra chicken which is just fine with me. If you're dining in, there are plenty of tables. For take-out, give them about 15 minutes to have your order ready. read more

Good steak hibachi, the fried rice is a little bland but i just mix with teriyaki and it tastes fine!

Always great food and only 10-15 mins wait! Call in 15 mins ahead of time, and it'll be ready when you arrive.

Only good thing about this place is the cheap price and the white sauce. Without the sauce all food is bland. Also, the setting is not very accommodating. The workers are all Hispanic.
