That and it goes to a good cause of local people through a lot of things like food, homelessness, jobs, and more, so it's worth going there knowing your money will help. The dvd/tech room is very small though. That's not bad, but you do need to check how many people are in there already and be kind about letting people in if you see someone wants to. It was my first time in the store and they had lots of nice items. I did have questions about some items I wanted to purchase, but was never acknowledged the entire time. I walked through the store from the dishes, clothing, to the furniture side. One tall dark haired woman walked past me at least 4 times in the store but only spoke to my husband across the store a couple of times. I was very sad when I left the store. He told me so much about this store and I was excited to get there. And they have everything of every type you could be looking for at a thrift store. There's a nice amount of clothes but it's not overwhelming everything else here. To fund their mission, Treasure Coast Hospice operates a thrift store in Stuart which I have previously reviewed and this newer location in Port St Lucie. The store is located in a strip mall. It is one large room with racks of clothing, small pieces of furniture, household goods, collectibles, holiday items, books, small appliances, jewelry, and accessories. Everything was neat, clean, and attractively arranged. Prices were very fair and they had an additional sale on green tag clothes which were an additional 50 percent off, 50 percent off shoes, and 20 percent off pictures. If you were lucky enough to find a yellow tag clothing item, they were only $1. They had some other sales as well so that almost everything in the store was additionally discounted. I really wish I had the room for the watermelon serving dish. I also loved the little doggie creamer. They had a lot of vintage items which also caught my eye. This is a great organization which you can come out and support by shopping their stores and donating to them. Also you can help save the planet by keeping items out of the landfill. Thrifting can do a community a lot of good.

Fortunately I found this fabulous thrift store from the Jensen Beach Community Church just a few doors down. Proceeds from this thrift store supports the Shepherd's Pantry providing food for those in need, a meeting home for Al Anon, Alcoholic's Anonymous & Narcotic's Anonymous, Indiantown Boys & Girls Club, and Habitat for Humanity. This thrift store is large with two long rooms filled with furniture, small appliances, linens, household goods, holiday decorations, clothing, accessories, etc.. I absolutely fell in love with a 1920's prohibition era wooden vanity that is just waiting for the right person to restore it and bring it back to life. They also had tea cups in my inherited Royal Rose pattern. Everything in the store was well organized, well priced, and in good condition. The volunteers who were working were friendly and helpful. I had fun exploring several rooms of art, furniture, collectibles, home goods, clothes, jewelry, decorations, and much more. There were so many unique and show stopping pieces. I loved the sweet botanicals at the Enchanted Forest, an Egyptian sarcophagus and chest, a playful monkey crawling across a bar, and the vintage cookie jars and glassware. The prices seemed very reasonable and the lovely ladies who were working were on hand to help but also left me free to explore as I prefer. I found my favorite shoes here, an unopened VHS tape of a cartoon I grew up on with the sticker seal still on there, a near mint NES game with box and manual (pre-covid, don't expect video game stuff nowadays). There was even one time we walked in cause my mom wanted to adopt a cat, but the kitten was back at the shelter by the time we got there and too young to be adopted out anyway, but I turn to the tech corner next to the cat area and spotted a gameboy color that I got right away (again, pre-covid). Don't get me wrong, I walked out empty handed plenty of times before, but you can find some really good luck here if you just keep trying. That and you sometimes get to see kittens, that's always a plus.

The store is staffed by volunteers and proceeds go to providing food and clothing, housing, rent and utility assistance, to the Port St. Lucie community. They sell donated furniture, household goods, lamps, small appliances, art collectibles, books, CD's, clothes, and accessories. They had a great selection and the prices were very reasonable in their clean and well organized store.
