The owner is the only employee and he is there 7-days a week and open till 11PM. Not really a large selection but it is locally owned and will satisfy the quick cold beer and chips desires. I first discovered this little charming cidery and winery from my partner who had tried the cider elsewhere. Returning from Erie, he found that we'd be passing Knocking Noggin so we swung by. We've made the trip three times now. We've only been disappointed once when my partner and I bought 4 growlers for a gathering we were having and none of them tasted good. Something happened where they were either mixed or went bad in a matter of two days. I reached out to management, and they quickly responded with apologies offering to provide us with complimentary refills. We brought our growlers back just as promised and they were refilled at no charge. Some of my favorite ciders have been the seasonal ones including Butter Beer, Pineapple, and Chocolate Strawberry. Pineapple is my top one hopefully coming back in the summertime. If you have the chance, visit this place during a town festival or even when nothing is happening to just have a wine slushy or glass of wine out on the patio. One of our last visits was during a Harry Potter Festival which was fun and interesting. Whatever you're doing, don't pass this place by, you won't be disappointed.

The kind of things I think about stopping to check out, but don't because I'm focused on the destination. So hubby suggested making one such stop on our way home - and lo and behold - Wilhem Winery. I enjoyed a tasting - very reasonably priced - and selected some wine to take home. The best part may have been the wine-making museum upstairs. Small, but really interesting. The gift shop is fairly typical of a small winery, but I always find it fun to browse. With plenty of seating, I'm sure this is a great place to hang out and sip wine with friends on a nice day.

My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure

However you have the option to have cart ride down. They have lights hanging and it's in the middle of the woods. It's very awesome and such a great idea. This is the second time that I've seen a place setup like this, the other time was in the Finger Lakes. It's a definitely different experience. I tried the bourbon, rye, spiced whiskey, slivovitz and blackberry rum. All of the whiskey was good. The slivovitz is a product that I do not see any local distillers ever making. It was nice to see this here. I was introduced to this 20+ years ago while tailgating for Steelers home games. I have to say what they had tasted much better. I ended up leaving with the Spiced Rum, it was good and different than the others. I had a mixed drink as well as my wife and we both enjoyed the drink and the location. They have a stream nearby. The seating is awesome, you can sit outside near the distillery, inside the woods, along the creekside. It's a very cool place and can't wait to go back again. This place just opened and see it getting busier and more popular over time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting this place.

Scallywags is at the end from the main lot but it was a nice walk along the creek! I had his special Limoncello Mojito which was delicious! Bought the Rums needed to make it and the Blackberry Mojito to take on vacation. We will certainly return. Try it ~~ fun places to visit.
