A very nice and quaint mall that you can walk around and circle back around. This is the first mall…read morethat I've ever been to that has huge stores within like Burlington, Bass Pro, Best Buy, etc. it's huge and worth the trip out. Food court is big and plenty of choices to choose from. There's a merry go round in the middle of the food court too. It was an enjoyable experience! I would return!

Pretty nice mall experience. They have a nice variety of stores ... although not to the class of…read moreSouth Park Mall ... and the place was relatively clean. One of the big draws here is the Sea-Life Aquarium that is in one corner of the property. Other than Mall of America, we couldn't recall another facility that had an attraction like that. Considering the larger stand-alone type malls, Charlotte has a few ... notably South Park, the Charlotte Premium Outlet, Northlake, and this Concord Mills, among others. Concord Mills has to compete for customers (especially with the brick and mortar storefronts losing out so much to Amazon) and they do a pretty nice job ... once again the aquarium helps. They close relatively early ... we think 8 pm, but that is a sign of the times to keep everything safe. Food court was pretty nice also, and had a very nice carousel for the younger crowd. We'd return here for the stores, but probably not for the aquarium, since that is more of a once a year thing. Three stars for the mall stores, rounded up to four stars with the attractions added in.

This shopping center and condo complex fits the definition of "mixed use" with a few Big Box stores…read moreand some restaurants and some offices and some living spaces (not sure if condos or apartments). I have been here a number of times, usually to hit up Trader Joe's but there's also a nice Best Buy (that does auto installations), Pisces all-you-can-eat sushi, Lost Worlds Brewing, and now 3rd & Fernwood which was my destination today (Yelp elite event!). There's bunches more of retail and restaurants. The tall parking deck worked well on a quiet midweek evening but during the holiday shopping season, it will be a real challenge. The deck is clean, well lit and I did see security on patrol. As always, be aware of your surroundings especially in or near the elevators and stairwells. I did not bring the Sprinter as there is a low height clearance. Two good access points from Kings Drive and Charlottetowne Avenue have traffic lights. Speaking of retail, we tend to visit Trader Joe's the most...but there are other big stores, like Marshall's and Best Buys. Now, there used to be some cool boutiques here, but I don't recall seeing them recently (possibly closed due to Covid?). Probably the coolest feature of this strip is this little alleyway with a great patio dining...with clear views to Uptown Charlotte. Recently, they've installed this fun Umbrella Alley" display...colorful umbrellas suspended in mid-air. Think it's a temporary exhibition? In any case, there's always something cool to do and see here at The Met...and despite the long drive from where we live, we tend to go here quite often. Guess it's worth it?
