I'm more of a 'rice meal" person and this dish is like perfect for me. All the ingredients are appealing for my taste --- the crispy pork, the sunny side up egg, meat loaf and the vermicelli. I also love the vinegar dip which makes the dish tastier! Oh and this is served with a small bowl of yummy broth. I also tried hubby's spicy beef bowl but I was too keen with my own plate so I just find the noodle soup ok. Customer service wise, the girl who took our order and prepared our table wasnt friendly --- looks so bored, didnt even smile. But the guy who served our meal is very nice and cheerful.

Finally that opportunity arose. I was pretty much in it for the Pho, which is probably my favorite Vietnamese dish and I wanted to see where they ranked. They pretty much topped the town. There was a number of different options available, which for starters was welcome change. I almost regret now not being a bit more adventurous and ordering ordering one the more special pho's on offer, such as the combination which included tripe and meatballs. However, the fresh beef slice pho which I ordered was really too good to complain about. Served with a plate of fresh beenshoots, coriander, basil and a big bowl of fresh chili (which i might add was perfectly temperatured) the fragrant broth was delicious and the lightly cooked meat was juicy and tender. There was chili sauce on the table which I tried separate to the pho to see what it was like. It had that characteristic peanut taste that is present everywhere other than china town cafe and which I find a bit unpleasant. An oddity I noticed was the service of the cutlery of which I have uploaded a photo. Between the two of us we were presented with one western fork, one western spoon a set of chopsticks and an asian style soup spoon aesthetically arranged, but with no concordance as to which implement belonged to whom. Don't know whether this is some sort of cultural tradition or just an all bases covered approach, either way it was quite amusing.

My friend ordered the spicy chicken and pork noodles and I had the combination pho. Be aware the portions here are HUGE! A small bowl is enough for the average dinner but the medium was more than enough! It was only $10 for a small but since it was only $1 extra to upgrade - I went the medium to see how much I could eat. The intoxicating scent in the restaurant was making me salivate so we ordered deep fried tofu to snack on while we waited. Service was fast and efficient, only moments after the tofu arrived, our mains was delivered before I could even take a bite of my tofu. Now I have a process before I dig into my pho, I scatter plenty of fresh Vietnamese basil, coriander and fresh chilli, a good handful of beansprouts, a squeeze of lemon and squeeze in a good dollop of hoisin sauce. I also have have an extra bit of hoisin sauce on the side to dip my beef in. And now the taste test, I take a sip of soup and almost wept tears of happiness when I inhaled my steaming hot bowl of combination. The broth past my taste test, a rich stock with perfect spices and seasoning to tickle my tastebuds, the meat was plentiful and thinly sliced, the portions were huge! Newly opened, service staff hover about being overbearingly ingratiating. I understand that - but take a step back and let the food speak for itself - because the food is pretty great! I ordered the banh xeo, and at around $16 you get a very decent rendition with (importantly) lots of salad and herbs to wrap it up in. The nuoc cham was also pretty good and likewise the pickles. As far as banh xeo go, it's probably the best I've had in Adelaide. Still not on par with what you might get in Melbourne (huge, lacy and really crispy) but everyone else in Adelaide has been really doing this dish a disservice. It's good to finally get one that isn't incredibly oily and soggy - or worse, served with (argh!!!) fancy lettuce. Definitely worth checking out: you don't normally get generous servings of food like this at these sorts of prices except in the outer suburbs!

Nothing that really stands out for me, so I wont go out of my way to return. But good when you are on the run.
