Upon arriving we were looking forward to our private getaway. Upon arriving the cabin looked weathered and worn, it was in need of a paint job. The back deck was just this side of splintery. You had to wear shoes. There was a table with an umbrella on it so we were going to open the umbrella and enjoy the view in the shade. The umbrella was torn up and coming apart, it needed to be thrown away. I started looking around and there were 2 hummingbird feeders that were not kept up. I thought that was a shame. I looked at the windows and not only were they too dirty to see out of, most of the screens were torn and holey. We entered the cabin and at first look, it was nice. I did notice there was no dishwasher like I was told would be there. I guess I was the dish washer. I started opening drawers to see what was there, and I don't think the drawers have ever been cleaned. I inspected the dishes and as I figured they were dirty with food specks on most. So I had to wash all the dishes. The bedroom area look nice and I noticed no dresser. I did see a bed table with 3 small drawers and figured we could put our underwear in there. I opened the top drawer and it was full of saw dust and crumbs. I tried to remove the drawer to clean in but no go. I opened the second drawer and there appeared to be sexual lube all over it. Gross! I didn't bother with the third drawer. I went into the bathroom to go potty and while sitting there I noticed the pedestal holding the sink had never been clean either. I flushed toilet and bent down to inspect. At this point, I'm inspecting everything. There was mold inside the toilet along the water line. There was a bidet and it didn't fair any better. I pulled back shower curtain to see the Grossest shower I have ever seen. The walls and especially the floor was that pinky/orangey color showers get from not being cleaned regularly. It was in desperate need of bleach and a scrub brush. I went back into the living area and there was a huge bathtub. What fun right? Wrong. I rubbed my fingers along the sides and could feel soap scum . So I had to wash the tub in order to use it. There is more like the floors were not swept right and bugs nesting larva between screens and windows. All in all it was a TERRIBLE experience and will never stay again. You'd be wise to do the same. read more
