They have had us living in this apartment with no ac on the beginning of summer we have tired to contact and we have even went to the office 4 times now all for them to say "its being handled " we have been with out ac on 80 to 90 degree weather for about 5 days and no one has came or called to make sure everything was solved read more

I have been a resident of Hidden Lake for almost 10 years and up until the last 1.5-2 years I would have given them a great review- the location is lovely (right next to HEB Plus and the Bandera Pointe shopping center, right down the highway from UTSA and LaCantera), all the trees eliminate the road noise of 1604, office staff was reasonably responsive, maintenance was quick to see to routine issues (usually within 48 hours), and they were seemingly doing what they could to deal with the constant foundation issues. I'm not sure what changed about 2 years ago, but everything has deteriorated and become absolutely unacceptable. First, both the front and back gates malfunctioned and were not fixed for over a year (the back gate is still broken to this day)- the gates had broken down frequently before, but were usually fixed in a reasonable amount of time. But over a year it was left wide open without any regular updates from the office and, when I emailed them directly regarding a status of the repair, was simply told that they would provide an update when they had one. Whereas at one time routine maintenance issues would be resolved in, at most, 48 hours, I have submitted tickets for four separate needed repairs (including not being able to get out onto my balcony as the door will no longer open due to the constant foundation shifting) and they have not been resolved for a month now. I have emailed multiple times, attempted to call the office, left a voicemail, and attempted to stop by in-person to obtain an update. When I DO receive a response, it's to repeatedly tell me that maintenance is seeing to emergency repairs first; I completely understood this... initially, but after a month? The same song and dance is no longer acceptable. And the office personnel have become nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with, no matter the avenue. Emails may be responded to once, otherwise they go completely unanswered even after follow up. They won't answer the phone- I called nine times over a two day period before I spoke to someone only to be given the same excuse. That was weeks ago- I've attempted to call six times so far today (it's currently early afternoon) and no one answers. When I stopped by the office in-person they have the out of office sign up signaling they'll be back in over an hour. Being a resident of this community has become both infuriating and disheartening since you absolutely cannot get any meaningful response (or, oftentimes, any response at all) from management. And don't even try to contact BH Management- I couldn't get a phone number from the office and the messages to the email address I was given have gone unanswered. Basically once you sign the lease, you're on your own. Just pray that you don't have maintenance issues or issues with your neighbors because you won't receive assistance. From a long-time resident, do yourself a service and look elsewhere. read more

It's been 4 weeks since I have reported a problem with my dishwasher and it still is not fixed or replaced. According to the office staff my issue is not important. This is typical of the type of response from office and maintenance departments. A word to the wise, avoid this apartment complex. read more

If you look at the most recent 5 star reviews, they are reviews for people who do not live here yet just signed a lease and got a deal for leaving a review. As someone who lived here for a year, please do not move in! It will be the worst lease of your life. Be vigilant in where you place your family. During my stay I resigned my lease, not having time to go apartment hunting in the midst of school, working full time and living as a single mom. A month after resigning my lease I got an email that my lease was filled out incorrectly by the leasing office And that they would send a new one for me to re-sign. While waiting for my new lease to be sent over my neighbor who I had have been having issues with Behavior had gotten worse. He would come to my door in the middle of the night around 2 AM and just stand and stare, He would knock and tell me very strange things, flips of my camera and yell profanities at it, He would steal my packages, and also leave me secret packages. I have videos of all of this behavior and it was never a concern to the 3 woman in the leasing office that I had a grown man standing outside my door for prolonged periods of time at all hours of the day and night while I live alone with a three-year-old. I voiced how uncomfortable it made me feel and they said there was nothing they can do about it unless I wanted to pay to transfer apartments. My neighbor came to my door one with a kitchen knife And started scratching down my door with the large knife. I showed the video to the three women in the leasing office, They could care less. I still was not allowed to transfer apartments. I had a police come out and they filed it as harassment stating it was very dangerous with the repetitive behavior my neighbor had. This was my direct neighbor that I shared walls with. After the police filed it as a harassment case the leasing office still did not care about the safety of myself or my 3 year old child. While dealing with all this I had squirrels in my ceilings, They were nesting and you can hear them playing and running in the ceilings at all hours of the night. Once again, leasing office never emailed me back when I would send videos of them running and playing, Never resolved the issue until I had my lawyers send them mail, All of a sudden they were going to fix the issue After I cohabitated with squirrels for five months. The squirrels were so loud when I would be taking a procted exam, my proctor would pause the exam because they thought somebody was in the room with me. They never resent me a lease to sign so I gave them a notice that I would leave at the end of my current lease. When I moved out they sent me a bill for $1500, Stating I did not give my 60 day notice, Yet they said I needed to re-sign a lease that was never provided to me. I will attach evidence of my neighbor and the harassment I dealt with. Do not move here especially if you have family, The woman in the leasing office do not care about you they only care about filling these apartments so they can get paid. Once you are in, They don't care one bit about you. So if you like walking around your apartment and stepping in dog poop, Which is also out of control, And if you like being harassed by neighbors, Or if you want to cohabitate with squirrels, Then hidden lake is the place for you. Read the reviews of the people who live here, Not the people who briefly walked through the leasing office and we're bribed to leave a review. There's been several leaks that maintenance even said was from rodents biting through the pipe. Maintenance barged in one day unannounced and immediately ripped the drywall up to repair it. This hole in the wall has been left exposed for over a month now. The video is showing the hole under the sink. I set a trap after multiple personal belongings in the cabinet were found torn into shreds. This was within 30 mins of setting the trap. We've reached out to maintenance and the office several times about the rodent issue inside and outside and they haven't done anything. I wouldn't be surprised if every building had mice it it's walls at this point. There has been several other issues with the unit alone but this incident was the final straw. read more

This is my first time living outside of my parents house and I'm so happy and so grateful. The community is beautiful and I feel safe and welcome. I honestly couldn't be happier. When an issue arises, the problem is addressed in a timely manner. I love living here read more

I moved to San Antonio for a travel job and chose Hidden Lake Apt. It's a beautiful spot surrounding by lots of trees and a small lake. It has been a peaceful experience. The pool area looks amazing and the office staff has been very kind and accommodating. read more

The apartments are only slightly outdated, it's a quiet area, and the community is genuinely filled with good people. Unfortunately, the people running the place are kinda rude. I've had several work orders in which I've spoken to maintenance men directly about when they would come over so I could ensure I was there. The men are very professional but they stood me up 3 times. It would have been nice if they had at least called to say they would not be able to come so I didn't take off work for no reason. It's clear they are understaffed. Also, my roommate and I moved out on a holiday weekend so the front office was closed for a 3 day weekend. The week prior my roommate called to ask about how we could turn in our keys. The front office lady advised us to turn it anytime on Tuesday because they wouldn't be in the office. However, Tuesday morning they called my roommate and threatened her that they would charge her if she couldn't turn in the keys in 10minutes. They even lied and said that they had spoken with me the week prior about a charge if it were not turned in. I never spoke with them. In hindsight, in every scenario where the office should have reached out to me, I reached out to them. I have only seen one front office staff for 2 minutes the entire 10 months I lived there and that's because they gave me a gate fob without batteries when I moved in so I had to bother them for another one. Moved in in May and since then the AC went out, refrigerator stopped working and lost everything in the fridge. On Thursday the dishwasher started leaking and took an unpleasant message to get anyone to look at it. Unfortunately waiting on the next thing to break. read more

Satisfied with living here but not satisfied with how they treat military members , I sent them my orders to leave San Antonio and they said they wouldn't honor the SERVICE-MEMBER CIVIL RELIEF ACT, my wife is pregnant and this is causing us a lot of stress as moving states already does and now we have to argue back and forth with them over military orders ,would not recommend to military family's . read more

I haven't move yet but the people in the front are really nice and helpful . They explain the whole process well and understanding . I've went to plenty apartments trying to find a nice place to live and everybody is very rude and look at me like I can't afford it because me and my fiancé are young ( 20 and 21 ) BUT I can say Hidden lake already had my quote and so much excitement for me and my fiancé and welcomed me in to their cozy front office that smells like pumpkins . The apartment I might be getting is called river walk beautiful apartment to spend at lease 5 years of your life Nd more the nature side is beautiful . another thing I would like to say application process is very easy Nd convenient and they keep you updated on everything .
