The staff located in the patch and shop are nice but everything in there is overly priced and most of it mass produced outside of their location (i.e. the stuffed animals). Of what we bought - some apple cider donuts and pumpkins, the donuts did NOT disappoint, they were fantastic even if they started going stale only about 2 days later. The other problem, also an issue of longevity, is that the pumpkins were rotting within 3 days.

We have our favorite orchards, markets, bakeries, and now... we have our favorite pumpkin patch/farm stand! We had seen signs but somehow missed it - but we decided to go back the way we came in hopes of finding it again and we did - and so glad we did!!! Luckily their Facebook page is what saved us - it had a map showing us that it's tucked in a valley in Haney, WI. Two sisters ran the stand and behind it a nice size pumpkin patch that had the vine clippers ready for the pinching. Our kids had a blast looking for the perfect pumpkin and after we bought some delish warm drinks and chatted with the sisters about their family farm. They also have pre-picked pumpkins, gourds, warm drinks, and some bakery items. We learned they also grow veggies throughout the growing season and sell at local farmer markets. The Sand Farm's pumpkins also have personality - they are EXTRA! These are not your standard "Walmart" carving pumpkins - these come in all shapes, sizes, colors, bumps, no-bumps - everyone can find a pumpkin that's best for them. Their prices can't be beaten. We walked away with 3 beautiful pumpkins - only $11! The Sand Farm is local agriculture/agritourism that is quaint, has a heart, and a spirit that we look forward to supporting when we are visiting the reason annually during the summer/fall. They are a new "add" to our annual apple-weekend "hit" list of must-visit stops.

Wild flowers, sun flowers, other flowers I didnt even know the name for.... Their season is short (Minnesota summers are short) but that makes it all the more special when you can sneak away from the city and explore Berry and Bloom Farm. It's also the most instagrammable spot ever, and the most quaint. The U-pick flower portion is on the "honor system." It is family owned, they only ask people leave a couple bucks for a few flowers (vases can be purchased for a few dollars more.) And I would probably hunt someone down if they took advantage of this amazingly open, kind, gift to humanity. I didn't take any flowers home, but left a few dollars any way because you truly can FEEL how much love and passion goes into this farm. Please understand that if you plan to visit: family owned. Small farm. Trusting people. Dont ruin the kindness :) Its about 30 minutes out of Rochester (great spot to explore if youre visiting the Mayo Clinic on a health trip.) Be sure to check their website though to ensure they are still open. This is going to be a permanent stop every time I visit this part of Minnesota.

They have more than 10 varieties of apples, which you can sample before you buy. Very thoughtful. I do wish you could buy smaller quantities, like 1 or 5 of a type. They were giving a free bag of apples to Veterans on Veterans Day, which was very nice. They also sell cups of hot apple cider, which was wonderful. We bought some strawberry rhubarb cream cheese that we thought had a bit too much sugar bc it was more like frosting, but it was wonderful frosting! Cute gift shop, kitchen tools, cheese, meat sticks, wood work. Just a great place. Will make it a stop on our trips to visit mom. Open year round at 8am.

Absolutely glorious. The current apples included Zestar, Honeycrisp, and Sweetango. The shop included honey, maple syrup, a good variety of jams, and other products. They had a great selection of freshly baked goods, and also had some frozen apple pies available. We bought an apple turnover and kolache along with two bags of 1/2 peck bags of apples and a strawberry jam. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. We shared the pastries, and WOW, they were good. Based on those, I'd love to try their apple pie someday!

Managing Girl is terrible! However, We love this place, and it is a destination when we come to…read moretown. We appreciate the military discount. Unfortunately, we don't appreciate the managing girl, who wears a mask outside, very much. She has little to NO people skills and has no appreciation for Military service, though the owners of the park do. She won't give the military discount on tickets, just the very first one bought. WTF? We bought a bunch of batting cage tokens for the fast pitch baseball machine. Most all the pitches were over our heads. Ridiculous. We told her and she said, " I know ." We need to get it fixed. However, NO refund could be given. We once arrived there and bought Kart racing tokens. After we paid, she immediately went and closed the track because of "potential" rain. She wouldn't give a refund, said the owners would not allow it. BS. It did not rain for 2 hours. We had to use the tokens weeks later on our way through town again. She is terrible. While we were playing the large connect 4, she constantly worried about us picking up the pieces off the ground. Of course we always did, but as soon as the game was over, she'd yell, " are you going to pick-up the pieces ? " Two seconds after the pieces hit the ground. We had to finally tell her to STOP! She was so damn annoying! This girl should not be in any type of customer service position. When we asked for her name to complain to management, she said she couldn't give it due to safety reasons. She is such a bad person to have running your business. If we see her again, we will just leave. Not worth the aggravation. We do love the Karts and the military discount! Too bad the batting cages suck.
