My experience with Hidden Treasures was very mixed. I found the salespeople to be professional, kind and knowledgeable. My husband and I had been customers for quite a while and we recently downsized to an apartment. I had a couch and chair I wanted to sell and they were in excellent condition. You must deal with the owner for consignment items. I have a few words of wisdom to share: be certain to understand the pricing before you sign the contract and where the placement of your items will be in the store for the best visibility. over the past several months I observed various pieces of furniture that never seemed to sell and they were costly. I would like to add more about the pricing of the furniture: Be certain you know what the price is on your items when you have that discussion with the owner as well as where they are located in the store. you also need some documentation that shows how much your items were priced and exactly how much they sold for. This place must not do much business because I see the same old inventory in there every time I go in there and it's way overpriced and you can buy better quality on different apps like OfferUp or Facebook marketplace and not have to deal with these lazy people. I browse this shop frequently. Most of the furniture is too formal and too large scale for me, but there are lots of small items that are interesting. You just never know what you might find. I wish there was a place like this that carries smaller scale, good quality, more casual furnishings. I brought a designer handbag to sell Thanksgiving weekend. I was told by the sales associate that it would be a 50 percent split. We agreed on a price. The sales associate told me she would not mark it down until 90 days. She also advised me she would call me before marking it down. My item was so within thirty days. When I went to pick up my check it was short 200.00. The owner said it went on sale. How can you justify a sale when it was there for 30 days. The owner is a thief and liar. read more

Solid prices and pieces. However the store is terrible to work with don't come in unless you plan on buying a piece straight away. We were looking to furnish a new room in our house and found a perfect couch. Put it on hold for three days to get a uhaul to move it. Despite having a "hold" and being assured we could pick it up Monday. We drive 45 minutes to discover they sold it that morning, no one had told them, and there was no such hold even though we have a picture of the hold paperwork filled out with name and number. Shopped here many times, it's rare and I mean really rare that I have found something I've liked (yet I keep coming back lol). The pricing is a bit high for it being used furniture and decorations. You can find some cool vintage furniture pieces, if that's your thing. I also like that the employees never hound you and let you freely browse. For a second hand shop, this is an extraordinarily classy joint. They have furniture. No clothes, no shoes, no old tupperware. Just furniture, generally in very good condition. And some dishware. Oh, and tchotchkes. It's all clean, well lighted and very well displayed. Their prices are a little higher than some other second hand stores, but they have frequent sales and they markdown the stuff that hasn't moved after a while, so there are bargains to be had. The dishware and glassware is displayed in the breakfronts and out on the tables. It's a pleasant space to shop in. Staff is generally friendly, but doesn't follow me around the place. My mother-in-law recently passed away and we are selling her house and furniture. We have 5 pieces of furniture left after a lady who was to pick them up on Tuesday (tomorrow) called and cancelled. We close on the sale of the house on Friday, so must move out the remaining furniture by Thursday. It is all quality furniture in excellent shape. I called Hidden Treasures and we talked about the furniture. They seemed interested (but still wanted pictures). I told them the reason for the urgency, but they said they could not pick up the items by Friday. I said I would deliver. They said they couldn't take any before Friday (she said maybe a small possibility for an appointment on Friday, even if I delivered. This seemed strange to me, so I called a couple more consignment furniture shops around town and even though they wanted pictures first, once approved, I could deliver immediately. So, all you people out there considering using this company, be ready to put up with their lack of service and their time schedule. read more

Each time I have been I find very nice stuff ranging from Ethan Allen, La-Z Boy, to Gallery Furniture. The styles vary from Victorian, traditional, to modern. You'll find pieces for both old and young and even those that invoke nostalgia. The prices are very well set compared to the quality of their offerings. They run daily promotions that offer discounts based on a theme ranging from 10-20% that definitely beat the guilt you might feel for wanting to buy the whole store, ha! They recently completed an expansion and now have a 15,000 square foot show room. Because items sell very quickly it's almost guaranteed you'll find new gems with each visit. read more

Very difficult to work with store and disinterested employees. I do not recommend working with Hidden Treasures. Short story: you need an appointment to drop off. Rude employees. No help to unload heavy furniture. Don't recommend at all. I had a truck full of nice furniture to resell. After looking at the website (where there is NO mention of needing appointments, whatsoever), I loaded up and headed over. Unfortunately, it began raining cats & dogs. Still, I needed to drop off this furniture. I arrived, soaking wet, and ask if I can bring in furniture to sell? The ladies inside the store said, "yes" but make NO offer to help bring things in. There are no men around either. I'm not that strong but figure I can manage. They don't even offer to hold open the door. After working to pull a heavy table out of my truck (alone, in pouring rain), one woman asks, "did you have this approved?" "Uh, what?" I ask, absolutely soaking wet. "You have to get all furniture checked & approved before dropping off." "No." "Well you'll have to come back later. Our appraiser isn't here today." 1. Why the hell didn't she say this before I started moving furniture out, alone, in the rain?? 2. Why is this not listed ON THE WEBSITE? 3. How does this make sense? If we can't bring furniture until it's been approved, how do we get it approved? Look, furniture is big & heavy. Not everyone has a truck. It can be a real pain in the ass and require a day off to bring stuff in. You HAVE to tell people that an appointment & approval is required prior to their arrival. The women were so incredibly rude & unhelpful. I do not recommend coming here at all. I took all the furniture to Restore by Habitat for Humanity. They were super friendly & helpful, with volunteers to help unload. Hidden Treasures lost out on several hundred dollars and won't ever get a recommendation from me. UPDATE The owner did contact me via message on here to say they will adjust their website right away to show appointments are needed. I hope that at least helps other people avoid the same issue I had. Also, they do have helpers to unload furniture, but only by appointment, as they are out on delivery most days. Your call on trying your luck here. Personally, I would want to work with friendlier people if I'm depending on them to sell my furniture ;) read more

Lots of furniture and furniture sets. Some is very cat lady floral... Sets of crystal, china, and glassware; some have stamp on bottom while some are made in nowhere land. My 2nd time here and I purchased a mirror for a good price. Other reviewer is right when he said they don't follow you, so be prepared to ask for help if you need something. Jewelry selection is not super vast and not all antique (I saw some Lia Sophia brand earrings). I live nearby so may visit again soon. read more

The non so wealthy can get a deal, that I agree, those who turn items in..well they are in for a suprise..My fault, I know why did I trust this business to give a great price to those in need? I really do enjoy shopping here, but consigning here is another story. I won't be back. All of my items I consigned here sold however the final payout totaled less than 10$. They do not write checks for less than $10 so I went to the store to collect the cash payout. I was told if they payed me for my items and I zeroed my account balance that I was never allowed to ever consign there again. What the what? I never heard of such a thing at ANY consignment shop. In other words "you can't have your money you earned". I went ahead and took the cash and will not ever do business with them again. Was keeping this small amount owed to me really worth losing a customer of many years? Not only that I had referred many customers to them as well. Crazy, crazy unethical policy. I've never had a problem collecting 100% of my sales at any other consignment shop. Consignors are what keeps them in business and I find this policy very disrespectful, and a poor business practice. read more

This place is the biggest rip off! And the manager and owners are incredibly rude and do not care about customer satisfaction or building a client base at all. I had a very nice piece of furniture consigned there and originally listed for over $1000. I had to pay their movers $55 to get it to the store. There it sat for over 2 years, with them dropping the price, and piling their merchandise on top, and the knobs fell off. Finally, they drop it to rock bottom, no notification to me and they are now charging me $20 to get my own consignment check because I didn't pick it up in 90 days.
