The prices are comparable to online options which is more convenient to avoid shipping fees. The employees are usually nice. Their selection is very unique and it's like treasure hunting. This store has so many different things from notebooks to mugs. It's hard not to find yourself leaving with multiple items. Cute place! I saw it on tiktok and decided to stop by when i was on vacation in Houston. It's a lot smaller than i thought it would be, the prices are pretty good for real Sanrio. No price gouging like some shops do. Totally recommend this place to anyone in the area. I wish they had a larger selection of figurines, some death note, Evangelion, soul eater, cowboy bebop. Located next to Hokkaido, this is a little shop that sells all sorts of cute or anime-related merchandise. Although it's a very small place, they have the cutest things. Folders, notebooks, pens/pencils, erasers, etc. All decorated or made with cute animated characters and vibrant colors. They allow you to open packages and use the pens to see if they are to your liking! In additional to stationary objects, they also have mugs, silverware set, and bags. Not to mention cute plush and keychains. All extremely adorable. I go here all the time to look for gifts for the little ones. And they absolutely adore it every time. Even I, a college student, love coming here if I want to cute-tify my stuff (and I do!) So if you have a big liking for cutesy stuff like me, you have to try Moshi Moshi. You'll fall in love with it! I noticed that majority of their merchandise is Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma. Anime items consist of T-shirts, playing cards, lanyards, keychains, posters, bags. However, they don't have a variety of Anime--just the most popular ones. They have Moshi Moshi dollar, in which you get $1 credit for every $10 you you spend. You cannot use it on the same day and it expires in a month. So save those up! The drawback is that it's a small place. Not a lot of room to walk. They don't have a public restroom, either. Personally, I found the price quite expensive, but it's still affordable. It's just a bit more pricey as opposed to shopping online. 5/5 for their super cute merchandise, one less star because of the price. read more

Even though I'm the owner's son, I actually really like this shop. Because it has everything you need to give your gf on that special day of hers. It's great. The environments nice, and it's just a great overall well rounded store. Talking to the guys out there: don't y'all have those days.. When it's your girl's birthday and you just.. it was a super cute place with lots of anime and sanrio things, but it was WAYYY too overpriced. i saw a cute kuromi tshirt for 20+ dollars, i cant remember how much exactly, but it was somewhere around that. it wasnt even a heavily or somewhat decorated kuromi shirt. it was a plain purple shirt with a picture of kuromi in the middle. probably wont be coming back but i got a miku figurine and a pen (for 48 dollars + tax because the the figurine was 45 dollars!!! ) not completely disappointed tho read more

This is the third time Moshi Moshi has moved in the same shopping center...their now next to Hokkaido. Their original location used to be much bigger w/ more options and variety, this new one is definitely much smaller and cramped - which is probably one of the reasons why they watch you like a hawk. If you're looking for some cute Japanese kawaii gifts such as stuffed animals/plushes,stationary, hello kitty stuff, Gundams, and even car air fresheners this is an option in chinatown. It ranges from small things like cute pencils, socks, keychains to bigger Jap stuffed animals like doraemons or even sushi plushes. My last visit in the smaller location wasn't the same as the original with less options, but if you're trying to look for some cutesy gifts in Chinatown, check this place out. read more

This place was adorable!! Brought back many many childhood memories. Small little store with lots of stationary, stuffed animals, pillows, folders, school supplies, keychains, toys etc. my only complaint was that it's kind of overpriced, mostly the stuffed animals and pillows of anime or kawaii characters such as Totoro and pusheens. Stationary & stickers were more affordable however & staff was very friendly. For every $10 you spend you get $1 to use for next time but you can't use it same day so not that useful for those on vacation and will only visit once. You can also only use credit card if you spend at least $10 so that was a bit inconvenient but if you're looking for kawaii gifts for loved ones this is the place to go! read more

Moshi Moshi has some adorable stuff, although it is extremely overpriced. I found a cute Totoro neck pillow, but did not buy since it was about $16 AND it was not comfortable. I did find a cute Totoro keychain. FYI --- They only let you pay with card if you're purchasing over $10, otherwise they ask you pay with CASH. Employees here are not friendly or helpful at all. I've been shopping here for years now and the customer service used to be great. I even left a nice review on Facebook because I loved this place. I love the stock and never leave empty handed. The last 3 or 4 visits though have been so unpleasant. I think they have a new employee who looks after the shop and check out counter because I never see the older woman anymore. The young lady does not greet you or smile or even make eye contact. Instead of giving me my receipt, card or money in my hand she'll put it on the counter and not say thank you or anything. She's very rude and unwelcoming and sadly because of the sour attitude and terrible service, I won't be shopping here anymore. I hope they find someone else but until then, I'll just shop elsewhere. read more

I winded up buying a little notebook, a pencil case and a file protector thingy. ( I'll post pics soon.) I think it was reasonably priced unlike other places I have visited where a little notebook costs more than $5. The cashier (maybe the owner? not sure) was very nice and left me to do my shopping and was happy to answer any questions.The shop is tiny but packs a decent amount of items which is nice.
