We visited High & Low Winery, and it felt more like a tasty restaurant with an impressive menu and drink selection. I indulged in the "Strawberry Fields Forever" cocktail--so good I couldn't resist a second! A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. My friend chose a Merlot, and I enjoyed exploring their menu. We shared a delightful Rod Todwell Panini--loaded with ham, bacon, apples, and honey mustard--and the Rhett Butler flatbread, featuring prosciutto, fig spread, and goat cheese, which was bursting with flavor. The olive tapenade was tasty but needed a touch more olive oil to be perfect. Overall, we had a fantastic experience! With creative food, stellar drinks, excellent service, and a clean atmosphere, we can't wait to return. Highly recommend!
Wine was awesome. Service was spot on but it was a bit toasty inside. Roomy and good for a group of 6!
My team recently did a wine tasting and dinner here. I think it was easy to work with them to book and get information. The decor was cute and they offer a lot of variety in terms of wine. Overall, I liked most of the wines we tried. The overwhelming majority of us liked the Sauvignon Blanc the best. People who's favorite wine is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir didn't really like those here. I don't typically like Chardonnay but I thought it was good. The rose was bland. I thought the Cab was actually really good and it's not my go to. The food was mid. Also, no one explained anything about the wines which I thought was odd.

They have a nice full menu which is normally not seen at wineries, I had the lamb meatballs and they were amazing. The reason for the three star is the way they served the wine. They must have kept the bottles out in direct sun as the samples were served piping hot, not just slightly warm...actually hot. It's hard to enjoy a good wine at those temps. I'll go back and give them another shot as other than the hot wine it's a nice place.

I thought the food was a bit pricey compared to the affordable great food they had before. The wine thankfully is the same. I chose the tortellini Alfredo. For $18.50 I was shocked that the alfredo was not homemade. Tasted jar quality. Overall the dish was good, but not for the price. My friend got the the Ricardo panini. She said the taste was undesirable. Very salty with minuscule fillings, even the bread was salty. The potato chips were just pedestrian. Not impressed with the new menu or quality. The wine was fabulous per usual and we appreciated the happy hour from 4-7pm. Will be back, but just for wine.
I made a reservation for a group of girls celebrating a bday. We were excited about the menu because we were wanting some pasta and carbs. The food was very average tasting (soup was barely warm) except for one girl whose pizza was very good. Lucky for me, she shared because my flatbread was the saddest thing I've ever seen. 5 out of the 12 pieces had no prosciutto and it was as thin as cardboard. I sent it back, something I rarely do. Service was slow, maybe due to an event upstairs but you still need to take care of your tables. Tiramisu was pretty good but we probably won't come back. Shame because it looks like it has potential.

I wouldn't call it a full menu; but it's a very impressive food menu by winery standards. They have Paninis, flat breads, tacos, soups, salads and a few other things. I went with a triple cheese Panini and a tomato bisque soup. It was excellent! They have a decent selection of beers now for those who aren't into wine. Natalie, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. We sat on the outside patio, and it was very comfortable. It looks like they have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. My one complaint about the patio is that they need a little more lighting once the sun goes down. I had to use my phone light to read the check. They did however have a very cool fire pit on one side of the patio. try to get a spot over there if you are hanging out after dark.

Because they certainly are not growing 8 different varieties so it really depends on where they're buying the juice. And then how they finish it. We got a flight of white wines and a flight of red. 5 different wines in each flight. Only one of them was remotely drinkable. The rest....impossible. Michael Angelo's in Richfield had the same issues when they 1st opened. But since then they've bought much better quality juice, and probably figured out how to finish it better. But this place it's still undrinkable.
This place is adorable. The wine flights come in an old school metal lunchbox. The wine and cheese and meat plate was delicious.
Lovely place with a great selection of wines. Does have some apps and salads and pastas. Great atmosphere. Fantastic service!

I got to warm up with the 6 sample flight of wine and the combo lunch of panini grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The flights are delivered in fun old school lunch boxes with little glass holders inside. A very cute idea. I enjoyed 5 of my six samples which is a good ratio. The grilled cheese was alright but I fell in love with the tomato bisque. I love having a really good soup. While here I did wander upstairs to see there party area. Very well decorated with color, decor, fireplace and it's own bar. A perfect spot for a bridal or baby shower.
Stopped by this winery during happy hour recently and there were not a lot of people around so we got to choose where we sat. Since it was warm, we opted to sit outside on the patio. A few more people filled in, but it was still relatively empty, which I enjoyed. Our waitress was kind and quick. We ordered a meat and cheese board along with a few flights of wine. I asked if the wine they serve was made in Ohio and she told me that they buy grapes and make their own wine in the basement! I was a little surprised by that. They also have a small vineyard in the back where they grow some of their own grapes. Of the red wines I tasted, I liked the Misunderstood the best. I didn't taste any whites because I prefer red. After my flight of wine was consumed, I ordered a Great Lakes Cloud Cutter beer, but they ended up being out of it, so I went with the waitress's recommendation. We ordered a flatbread to munch on, which was delicious. They have a good happy hour and I know my wife and I will be back to enjoy it.
Went for a girls day and got the flight boxes which were so cute! Every single wine we tried was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Second time here. Service was great. Flights were good with a nice variety of dry reds. Personal favorite was the Merlot. Hubby liked that they also had a variety of drafts. Would like to bring back friends who enjoy cocktails as they had an interesting list. This time we did not have anything from the bistro menu but did enjoy it last time we came. Will keep them on our list of places to visit when we're in the area again! read more

Stopped in on our way back from Litchfield with my husband for a light lunch. The building, back patio, and vineyard are quaint and beautiful. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a bottle of one of the sweet whites. Fruity, chilled, and refreshing on this hot day. We also tried the high meat & cheese board, braised short rib ravioli, and tomato bisque. All the the food was great! Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu. High low winery has a great atmosphere. I went in on a Saturday night and was greeted and seated right away! Service was on top of things and very attentive. The wine selection is small, but it is nice you can do flights to taste and see what you like. The flights came in little old lunch boxes which was a neat idea. I feel that the wine was not as diverse as I would have hoped. It was nice that they serve a full menu. I ordered a panini and was very happy with how it turned out. I read more
We celebrated my moms birthday here for the 2nd year in a row. The patio and outdoor area is beautiful. We had about 12 in our party and we were waited on by the twins - sorry, ladies, I don't recall your names! Had great service. Enjoyed the wine and we ordered cheese trays to share before everyone's meals. read more

What an amazing selection of white wines. We sampled 4, had a bottle to drink there and bought 2 bottles to take home. We really enjoyed their wines! Band wasn't the best today but wine was good. read more

Very nice venue, the place is very spacious and modern. We ordered the beer board and the low meat and cheese board. Both tasted like cheap store bought meats and cheeses. The Jumping Jack saved the day though! It was had a lot of flavor and was very filling! read more

Great selection of wines and lots of options for flights (4, 5, or 6). This is a really cute venue but careful - it's easy to zoom right past it!! There's a private parking lot but downside is that it's gravel and not well-lit -- a poor combination for drinking into the evening hours. They also have some cocktail specials and bourbon choices if you're not into wine. They have a somewhat limited food menu with choices from a cheese plate to paninis. My friend and I got the meat and cheese plate which contained a cut up hotdog and cuts of lunch meat salami and pepperoni, along with Ritz Crackers and cubed cheese (cheddar, Monterrey jack, and pepper jack) for $11.50. To me it seemed ridiculously overpriced for what it was. I got a salad with steak on it which arrived quickly but I thought it was also overpriced - the steak was barely identifiable since it was cut into such small pieces and was not a very large portion. Halfway through our visit there was a shift change, and our first server explained that since they split tips there was no need to cash out until we were ready to leave. Our second server was much less attentive and had far less personality than the first. For our first server experience and for the selection of wines, I rate this a 5. Definitely will try again! It's an adorable little winery. We got a flight of reds and whites. LOVED all the whites that we got. The flights come in vintage lunchboxes. The staff seemed really nice. When we went there was only two other tables, but service could have been quicker. Our waitress only came to see us a couple of times in an hour and a half. And was confused when we asked questions. Other than that, we had a great time and will be back in the summer! read more

My husband took me to High and Low as a surprise before we met friends for dinner in the Medina area. Romance... sheer romance! Although the downstairs area is deemed "rustic" it has an upper scale cabin feel that adds to the ambience. We wandered upstairs for a self-guided tour. We were greeted by crystal chandeliers, hushed conversations, touched foreheads, deep plum paint, soaring ceilings, velvet curtains, stainless steel, private rooms, and a bird's eye view of the young vineyards and expansive patio. The stairwell boasts black-and-white photos of celebrities (some rather obscure) and gives one the impression of "grandma's house" where family photos grace the walls on the way to the second floor. Very homey. Marissa was our server at the wine bar. Her enthusiasm for the wine was only matched by her knowledge of the grapes, origin and juice. She truly seemed to LOVE her job! My husband and I like all wines - red/white - dry/sweet. We enjoy what is on offer at all area wineries; each being a different experience. High and Low has a great selection of dry wines (I tasted ALL of the reds)! We were also pleased to see beers on offer. I love that juice/grapes are brought in from California until the vines on-site are established. I didn't see any "ultra-sweet" wines on the menu which we were fine with. The idea behind a wine tasting is to try different wines. The wines were delicious (we bought a bottle of Zinfandel to bring home) and the menu was more well-rounded than other local winery menus. We didn't find the prices of the tastings to be outrageous or the wines to be under-poured. We told our friends about High and Low, and showed them our pictures at dinner. Driving home from dinner that night we passed the winery. The parking lot was overflowing! Will we be back? Yes - and we'll bring our appetites (and friends) with us the next time! read more
