"Costa" our first driver was exceptional. Everything else went downhill fast. We pre-booked several trips with Oakwood for our short visit to England. Out of the four bookings, one was missed completely and had to be re-booked at the last moment. On another of the bookings, they sent a car that wasn't big enough for the four of us and our baggage. Another car had to be requested while we waited. All of our communications with Oakwood was done initially through emails with specific details as to the number of people and the amount of luggage. Even with this done weeks in advance, Oakwood was still able to screw up the logistics and cause confusion. I would suggest using another service, any service other than Oakwood. We certainly will on our next trip.

Driver was waiting at Heathrow and trip to our hotel was uneventful. We had a few other trips arranged and these were handled poorly. Although we had received emails confirming the arrangements they had them scheduled for the wrong day or did not have the right vehicle. they also did not honor the price quoted in the email for one of the trips. the drivers were all knowledgeable and very pleasant, the organization in the office is definitely lacking. Fortunately, I was able to get another car but was late arriving for my work as church organist. Hitherto I have found your service excellent but felt badly let down this morning. Despite the fact that I never provided my number I received a booking confirmation text. I called Abetta to let them know that it is my friend who needs to receive the confirmation information and I re-iterated my friend's number. The male Abetta staff said the confirmation had gone to my friend's number and not mine - despite me looking at the relevant text on my phone!!! I thought how odd, and hoped this was the end of it. However, despite never contacting Abetta again since, I have been receiving a few, erratic confirmation texts from Abetta to which each I texted STOP! This offensive situation escalated early last Saturday morning when Abetta called (!) me to discuss a booking!?? I again told them that I had nothing to do them, that I had not made any bookings with them ever! The male Abetta staff he would look into this. But this morning I received yet another booking confirmation text, to which texted STOP. This is now unacceptably intrusive. I hence called Abetta to tell them to stop this harassment once and for all, but the female staff was extremely unfriendly, und unwilling/unable to even hear me out. She talked over me in an angry voice insisting that I booked cars with them!!! She was hell-bound to accuse me and unable to even consider for a moment that - given my experience - Abetta's system is flawed. I insisted the harassment be stopped, but she said 'EXCUSE ME a booking was made using your number...' Abetta's system is obviously flawed. Fix your system. Train your staff. STOP the harassment.

    The driver was late, rude and prejudice... when the driver finally arrived, he did not believe that…read moreI was the correct customer, who he had spoken to on the phone, only 10 mins prior, even though I gave him my name and the destination address. He said I sounded different on the phone i.e. I spoke like a white person, but didn't look like one. (I am mixed race). He made me get my phone out while in the taxi, rang my phone, and asked me to answer my mobile to check that I was the correct person. Was it not enough to ask for my name a destination address?! Unbelievable! When I telephoned the the taxi company to complain, they put the phone down on me. Very disappointing! Do not use this company.

I don't live In London anymore but have used this company on the many occasions I visit. I had intended to take the tube on this occasion but my flight over was delayed for about an hour so I decided to take a cab to my final destination. The office asked for my mobile number and flight number - I assumed having been advised that my flight had been delayed for an hour, the latter was to check on the actual arrival time. Unfortunately, despite being advised of at least one hours' delay, they looked up my flight number and told the driver the timetabled arrival time. The driver then threatened to call the police if I did not cough up the additional £30 for the time he had to wait at Heathrow - when I protested that office had been told that I had been delayed for at least one hour and that it was not my fault that he had waited at the airport his response was that "it wasn't his fault either". Eventually after a phone call he agreed to split the difference. Having not lived in England for a while I'm not sure what the law is on this and I didn't fancy a night in a cell so I agreed to the additional £15 but as you can probably tell came away feeling quite ripped off. I would have naturally thought that in the era of computers and smart phones , we could easily find out what time flight arrives and therefore not arrive early and attempt to charge a customer almost twice the quoted rate. (This was confirmed by a driver from another company as I had to use a cab the next day- apparently he can just check an arrival time of a flight on his phone). Even if they didn't have the appropriate equipment, they had been told over the phone that I had been delayed I probably shouldn't judge this organisation by one bad experience - but if they cannot find a way to allow for flight delays (which are a fact of life), maybe they're not whom you would call if you need a shuttle FROM an airport....
