Unlike other body shops, both in person and virtual estimates, Borino's price was reasonable. Even more important, unlike those other dent removal outfits, he made the car look like new, without resorting to painting. Some of his competitors, not all of whom could guarantee their "written estimates," insisted the car would need several panels painted. Online reviews informed me this shady practice runs up the price and often the paint doesn't match, necessitating the entire car be painted. Borino told me that painting cars devalues them because then it's assumed the car was in an accident. I will gladly become a regular customer and refer him to friends and relatives. It's not easy to find someone honest and competent who cares about his reputation in any industry, let alone dent repair. So, this was a valuable experience.

I watched nearly his entire process, and his work was completely meticulous. This gentleman refuses to cut corners, rush or skip details. (That's not to say he isn't in demand--he needed to field calls from clients throughout, though this did not slow him in the least!) He recreated an entire screw mount using plastic edging displaced from in the interior. This was then welded it to fit the hardware and left me with a plastic panel that can be normally separated and removed from the vehicle if this becomes necessary in the future.. I also want to note that he is completely scrupulous in refusing to offer the quick-fix mobile paint jobs offered by many competitors. Spot painting is more complex than most people realize, and the need to carefully blend various areas under indoor conditions are vital to not doing more damage than is solved. Damage to the surrounding area would also be possible, and he can offer such services separately and reasonably-priced at his Hollywood location. I suggest you take this advice, no matter whom you employ. Oh, and did I mention that his rates are reasonable? A trip to the dealership would have easily cost a couple thousand dollars and left her without a car for several days. Instead, I called Sam. Not only was he responsive, but he actually came to my house. He repaired the undercarriage, buffed out the damage, and repainted the fender. When he was finished, the car looked brand new. You would never know there had been any damage. What impressed me most was the combination of professionalism, convenience, and affordability. Sam was courteous, honest, and clearly takes pride in his work. While I hope I never need auto body repairs again, if I do, I won't hesitate to call Sam.
