First, there is no General Academic Knowledge section of the test given (for students over 3rd grade). Second, there is a "fluency" score which is a measure of how fast they perform certain portions of the test. It was very distracting to my student that the tester was turning on and off an timer. Overall, I do not think this was a positive testing experience and my student's scores are not an accurate reflection of what he knows.

My autistic son needed help studying for the SAT exam. After the poor performance I found a tutor for my son. The original tutor I got for my son quit (she didn't want to tutor an autistic person). Two other tutors followed a similar suit. After googling tutors online I found Ivy League Tutor Network. The tutor that was assigned to my son very knowledgeable on the SAT subject matter. He was very patience with my son, which I appreciated. When the new SAT scores came back my son improved in all three subjects for about 400 points (450 critical reading, 600 mathematics, and 450 writing).
