Worst electric company I have ever dealt with…read more I paid $100 toward my bill on the due date (5/5) and scheduled the remaining balance of only $72.65 to automatically come out of my bank account on my next payday (5/20). Despite already making a substantial payment and setting up the rest online, they STILL disconnected my power. When I called to ask why my electricity was shut off even though a payment was already scheduled, I explained that I have children in the home and needed electricity to feed and care for them. The representative showed absolutely no compassion and told me they do not allow payment plans or extensions of any kind. According to them, if the bill is not paid in full by the due date, they disconnect your service -- no matter the circumstances. Their only "option" was pushing their MyChoice Prepayment service. Because of this, I had to ask a friend for financial help just to get our power turned back on until I can repay them on 5/20. If it weren't for that help, my family would have gone without electricity for an entire week, and we would have lost all the food in our refrigerator and freezer. I understand bills need to be paid, and I was actively paying mine. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of humanity, flexibility, and basic customer care. Emergencies happen. Families struggle sometimes. Treating customers like account numbers instead of human beings is disgraceful. This experience has been stressful, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

These small town business visits are refreshingly lovely. Face to face, just like the good ol' days. I'm not a good ol' days aficionado by any means, but I imagine this was how it was before the days of telecom and internet. I don't know if there are ever crowds here, but if there were, there's plenty of parking, and the lobby is spacious. A very nice lady helped us today to update the account - swift and friendly, just what I expect for great customer service. Even more perfect was the beautiful setting complete with fall color. How lucky did I get to witness beautiful trees change color for the season! I don't see seasons change much in Los Angeles, so this was a treat. Though I'm happy to be home, I sure do miss the charm of small town living.

I stepped in and called Will, who came highly recommended by one of my clients. He actually called and talked to my landlady himself! Calmed her down ...and he started on it the next day... for almost half that price! Even my 9 year old had to tell him he was doing a great job. Looked at Liberty's 5 star rating and called them. My boiler sounded like it was boiling the…read morewater and would shut itself down. I called liberty and a repairman came out. He said I needed a blower motor. I asked how much and he said cost would be approx. $650 for repair. He came back with motor, installed it and charged $1100. He said it had a 2 yr warranty on repairs. After this repair, It did the same thing after each repair visit. He came out three more times and every time told me my 11 year old boiler was old and needed replacing. The cost to replace it would be $8K for a new boiler alone. After 4 service calls and the quote of $8K, I did some research. I called the factory.. they said "average life of this boiler is 15-20 years". They asked me if the boiler was leaking, I said no. They said, then you do not need a new boiler. I called another repair company in Montrose to check it out. They came out and in 45 minutes had it fixed. Repairman said his own personal boiler was 25 years old and he had never touched it. They charged me $600 for the repair. You can make up your own mind if you think Liberty is reputable or not.
