But I…read morehad to throw a bridal shower for my niece at a venue near Keeneland racetrack and Keeneland was sold out except for their "house" rental and it was super expensive. I talked to Yancey Markum at Keene Trace and had a great experience and a beautiful shower. The food was good and plentiful. I am very picky about fresh fruit platters and said "market fresh" only berries, pineapple, and honeydew. It was perfect. The décor and presentation was also great. I really liked that juices, soft drinks, and coffee was included in the set price. There were no surprises and the waitstaff was attentive and the mimosas and bloody marys were delicious. It was a pleasure to do this event. The only hitch was we couldn't start the fireplace before the guests arrived but it was already a warm day so we didn't need it. A really pretty country venue in horse country only minutes from Keeneland for a wedding or shower. Or whatever. You will not be disappointed.

They treat you like its an honor for them to have you there. It is a great learning environment whether you are trying to break 100 or break par. I'm am biased as I have benefitted from their expertise and have nothing but praise for all the teaching professionals and staff. No other place in KY compares to this facility for learning the game. Glad I get to practice there and be treated like I belong.

Its a horrible course greenskeeper is either a total idiot who hates his job or using equipment from the 1920's. Insulting how much they charge to ride here. 0 stars, 1/10 golf course. Only place worse around here is tates creek.

There are a lot of old growth trees and a stream the meanders through the course. The greens are relatively flat but with lots of bunkers around them. There is a good mixture of par 3 and 5s which make it challenging. Worth playing this course if you like to play golf.

The day we played it was so windy. I can't adequately describe how windy it was but windy. We played the front 9 and it was pretty uneventful. Not much scenery except the houses in the neighborhood and no water on the course, few traps and was just OK. We turned the corner to the back 9 and it was like a completely different place. Really. The holes had character, water, sand, houses but didn't seem to come into play as much as front 9. We really enjoyed the course. We will for sure play there again and perhaps ask if we can play the back 9 twice. Mid range on price but what they didn't tell you was the cart was extra. 90 degree rule the day we were there. The sand traps are mud traps, we have standing rule to lay out of traps so you don't ruin a club. The greens could use some TLC, but their OK. The pro shop last year (15) was just a room. There was nothing in it to purchase. The good news is we have been advised new managers are working there and should be better. Great course layout.
