The day we played it was so windy. I can't adequately describe how windy it was but windy. We played the front 9 and it was pretty uneventful. Not much scenery except the houses in the neighborhood and no water on the course, few traps and was just OK. We turned the corner to the back 9 and it was like a completely different place. Really. The holes had character, water, sand, houses but didn't seem to come into play as much as front 9. We really enjoyed the course. We will for sure play there again and perhaps ask if we can play the back 9 twice. Mid range on price but what they didn't tell you was the cart was extra. 90 degree rule the day we were there. This park starts off with numerous baseball fields which I assume that little leagues use throughout the summer. Spread out around the park are a few small children's playgrounds. The organized sports and fun for the kids: Check! Near the middle of the park there is this decent sized pond with a fountain. Also ducks! Lots of ducks! Different ducks! Friendly ducks! Did I mention there are ducks? Benches and swings are all around the pond. It's the perfect place to take a daytime date to relax. Date/Nature/Pond: Check! On one side of the park and out of the way you'll find a small skate park. It is tiny and they really should expand it for the skaters in the area. They have more than enough room and it's hard to find great places to skate. Alternative activity space: Check! On the other side is a paved path that circles the park. It's a great path, but I wish it wasn't just a flat and winding path. They should install more trees or other things to admire. This path is surrounded by grass and only grass. I think this park could benefit from more trees, plants, and flowers. There is a gazebo on one side of the park in this area. There is also a dog park tucked away. The only reason this park gets a 4 instead of a 5 is because of wasted space. There's a lot of underutilized space that could be made beautiful here. I'm surprised anytime I talk to someone from the area and they have no idea that the park exists. Everyone from Danville and the surrounding area should use this park! No excuses!

The coffee station in the lobby has little fruit fly insects all over the place. The entire place looks shabby and rundown. There are no schedules or information available for prospective members. Reason I quit after four hours: Management is unprepared and unprofessional. I was put on a computer for four hours (after the boss was late) to do modules. No new hire paperwork, no tour of the building, no introductions to other staff. I was given incorrect information about breaks and hours worked. (I looked it up online and corrected the manager.) The manager had tested positive for Covid last week and was back to work already- hacking, sneezing and coughing all over the desk. No visible means of sanitation, wipes, masks that I could see. After the professionalism and adherence to company policies I am familiar with from my previous YMCA, I simply have to look elsewhere for employment.

This place offers year long memberships, and members can bring guests for a small fee. The only downside is that the membership was not affordable for me, while I was in graduate school, so I missed out for over a year of living in Wilmore, before becoming a member. I wish they provided more information in their promotional materials, website and over the phone, and I may have found a way to join sooner. I felt like I was not given enough information about membership, prior to becoming a member. Overall, I feel very fortunate to have such great outdoor shooting, archery, and camping place in Jessamine County! This place is located right outside of Wilmore, which is a quaint, small town. I look forward to well-utilizing my membership here!
