Thanks to the excellent training program that the team at Global Home Fitness and the trainers (Will Hansen and Gary Murphy) and the nutrition help from the staff nutritionist, (Jocelin Lamprey) , been able to really turn around my fitness. Before, I had tried trainers before at gyms and video programs, but with the travel time and inconvenience of going to a gym at the hours I need, nothing really worked. Finally finding an at home program really helped me create the discipline and schedule that worked for me, and with that the results finally appeared. I highly recommend Golden Home because the trainers are extremely knowledgeable, they are very helpful and work hard to support you.

The office situation is professional and responsive, very easy to work with. The in-home aspect is convenient and private. I've been with them for 18 months, and now things that use to be the major labor of my day, like dragging the AC unit upstairs for the summer, are trivial. I'm stronger, healthier, less fluffy, and more confident. Strongly recommend.

While we were simply picking up a net to prepare for our time slot--without even entering the room yet--the Pilates instructor shouted at us, claiming she had the room reserved until 12:30 PM. Actually her class was done and she already packed to leave the front door. The room was completely empty. As long-term members, we were not interfering with her class or disobeying any regulations. Being yelled at in public for no reason was humiliating and unprofessional. This level of disrespect is not what I expect from YMCA staff, and it truly ruined our day. I hope management addresses this behavior, as instructors should maintain a basic level of courtesy toward members."

If you're a serious swimmer, don't join. I would like a staff member to leave a contact number for a discussion.

As a result, there's a mass exodus of members leaving, losing talented coaches (and lying about them), especially bad turn over of front desk personnel, and 4 managers in the last year, each one worse than the last. The current manager is probably the most unprofessional of all of them, I've never seen so much gossip and drama before her arrival. I chose to cancel my membership at the gym via a private email with her, and when she asked my reasoning, that email was then shared with everyone who was currently on the clock in studio, which of course then got back to me. Highly unprofessional and an invasion of privacy in my opinion. Aside from fitness, a huge focus and pro of this studio was the community, with the Facebook group being the main outlet for that. However, with new management and a new head coach, information is now hidden, people are silenced, posts are censored, comments are removed and shut off. The lack of transparency is off putting and leads to more gossip. I want to workout at my gym and feel welcomed by the community, not hear that the manager and head coach are gossiping about other employees and members and feel uncomfortable in the same community I once loved. Additionally, it just sounds like bad economics to be concerned with new membership at the cost of losing current members and coaches. It's more expensive to gain new customers than retain current ones, especially when people who love their gyms encourage new memberships via their own word of mouth. With the new year comes many people interested in joining gyms, and those people often choose to ask their friends where to go. I've had multiple friends ask to come to this studio with me to try it out in the last month, and I told all of them to try somewhere else. I signed up for a new gym in the area and other members of this OTF have followed suit. You guys made a big mistake. Huge. Edited to add: I was really proud of my accomplishments and recently let a girl at the front desk know I had lost 25 lbs. her response was, "25 down, 25 to go!" I was gutted, but just smiled and walked away. If I lose another 25 I would be underweight. But I guess that lines up well with the new image they have. It used to be more diverse, encouraging, and welcoming. I'm just so disappointed.
