I have been going to Crossfit Resilience for over 2 years now. I regularly went to the gym for 20+…read moreyears before joining CFR. After the first workout, I realized that I was just going through the motions at my old gym. Crossfit teaches lifts and gymnastics movements that you would not have the opportunity to learn at a traditional gym. I enjoy learning new exercises or mastering difficult ones which helps keep me motivated. The programming is what I think CFR does well. All high level exercises (Olympic lifting, any overhead exercise, muscle-ups etc.) have scaled alternatives for people who are new, injured or still working on strength. Not everyone physically can or even cares about snatching 250 lbs or doing muscle-ups so this gives everyone a safe option. Dan and Brooks work with you to figure out the appropriate scaling option that fits your fitness level. Dan and Brooks do a great job of teaching you the movements and helping you to master them. The people and coaches at CFR are all very encouraging which helps push you to your limit day in and day out so that you can meet your goals. I definitely recommend coming in and giving it a try!
