Went in to have my kiddo's ears pierced for their 11th birthday. Madeline was fantastic -- described the process clearly and checked in with my child many times, was incredibly patient while they settled in, and had solid processes in place to make sure our kiddo wanted to move forward and that both parents were on board. my first time here i came with a friend a few years ago to get a matching tattoo; my tattoo artist Anthony; was very attentive, greeted us as soon as we walked in, and didn't mind that my friend and i had our nephews . overall first great experience. - i went back to get a another tattoo but on my hands, Anthony was my artist again (surprisingly he remembered me ) he took his time with the placement, drawing it up, which was a plus bc this tattoo was for my parents and i wanted it to be perfect. and i was extremely happy with the outcome, not gonna lie i was very nervous about getting the tattoo even tho i have 12 now, but he was very reassuring that i'd be fine and that i should be used to it by now considering that i have a sleeve but it had been soo long since the last time i got a tattoo. I got my nose pierced about a year and a half ago. When I finally changed the 18g piercing, I put in fairly small nose jewelry- I think it was closer to 20g. Eventually I realized I needed to have more nose jewelry, but I couldn't find any that fit my (now tiny) hole. I found this place on Yelp, and they seemed legit. The outside isn't much to look at, and the inside is more like a townhouse than a normal piercing place. But it was clean and the guy working was incredibly nice. I told him I was looking for 20g or 18g L-Shaped nose jewelry, and he told me that they only sell 16g jewelry (spiral, no L-shaped) because that's what they pierce with. He convinced me to get my nose tapered, which makes the existing hole bigger. I was a bit apprehensive, but he calmly answered my questions until I could no longer find a reason not to do it. He sterilized all the equipment and then tapered my hole. He said it would hurt less than the original piercing, but I actually think it hurt the same amount. He gave me a very good price on the tapering and two pieces of nose jewelry. He told me my nose would be fine for my interview two days later, and it was a tiny bit red but barely noticeable. My nose was a little red/sore for a few day or two, but washing it with saline water calmed it down. It's now been about two or three weeks, and I haven't had any issues and it now looks completely normal! If you're looking for someone in the area for piercing, I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I got one tattoo done here and another touched up. I'm happy with both. They do good work, and they have reasonable prices. I came as a walk-in, and they took me right away. The artist and I had a good conversation while he was working, and he customized a specific green ink for me. Just went in to get 2 piercings, left with none because the woman piercer asked me if she can put the needle back in where she just pierced because the jewelry wouldn't go in (that could only mean she pierced it incorrectly right?) pretty sketchy experience and now my ear kills for no piercing in return :( read more

I got my septum pierced by Jay in 2006. I was really scared, because this was my first piercing aside from a belly button ring. But he walked me through the whole process, and before I knew it, I had a beautiful, straight septum piercing! I don't know if I just lucked out, or if Jay is really that great, but I didn't even know he had pierced it. It didn't hurt at all. He's so nice, and so are all the employees at the shop. The place is spotless, and super professional. It's not an intimidating place to go to at all. I won't go anywhere else for any other piercings. I don't have any tattoos myself, but my friend got a beautiful piece on her back a few years ago. She loves it, and I think it looks great. So if I ever want a tattoo, I'll be going here! read more

Are you looking for an amazing tattoo with no pretentious, holier-than-thou attitude? Look no further. I recently got a large squirrel in a frame on my upper left arm. Damian Cusumano was my artist and he was professional and classy from start to finish. I contacted him and he let me know his availability for a consultation. I brought my pictures and we talked about placement, size, etc. After a few weeks we got our schedules in line and I had my first appointment. He combined a photograph I took with another frame photograph in photoshop and came up with an amazing piece of art; it was exactly what I envisioned. I still have to go back for one more sitting but my arm is looking pretty spectacular if I do say so myself, and strangers have been oohing and aahing over Damian's work. The shop itself is clean and decorated quite nicely. The nautical theme bathroom is, dare I say, adorable, and also super clean. I got to listen to awesome music and banter while being tattooed and again, even in a room full of burly, tattoo covered dudes I felt nothing but comfortable and at no point dumb or out of place like I've been made to feel in other shops. read more

I was happy at first but the more I looked at my tattoo the worse it got. The one leg is messed up and looks like it's coming out of the other, plus they some are thicker in weird places, in person you can tell he had shakes hands. It's healing and I've been wearing moccasins so my tattoo isn't covered and ink is still being ripped out. I think he skipped over a few places. I'm planning on getting it fixed up at state street once healed. read more

Walked in High Roller to inquire about a small cursive piece vertically on my spine which would be my first tattoo. The artist Tony came out and when I told him my design I was reprimanded. He told me the placement was not feminine and that getting a tattoo in that direction on the spine would be pointless because no one could see it. Along with more disrespect, he also told me that getting a tattoo in order for it to look nice with one shirt is not a reason to get one at all. This offended me because the initials were for my grandmother who recently passed. I understand from an artistic perspective if he did not want to put his name on art that he didn't understand, however I feel as if he could have conveyed his opinion more professionally. I ended up going to a different location and am very pleased with the service and visit all together. read more

I have given him hand drawn pictures ( I am no artist) and he has taken them and made them come to life and they are gorgeous. I am grateful that he had never tried to talk me out of anything, ever. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for at least a year now, but have been on the fence about where to go and then on actually going through with it. I'm such a baby when it comes to pain. Case in point, I passed out the first time I got my ears pierced at 18 years old. ;-) Anyway, a friend of mine recently had her nose pierced at High Rollers and got her tattoo there a few years ago as well. She decided to lend me some moral support today. So after a quick bite and a couple of drinks to calm the nerves at Iron Hill, we mosied on over to High Rollers where we were greeted by Drew. I already had a drawing of what I wanted and he said that it would be no problem at all and would only take 20 minutes. Sold! The parlor was clean and both Drew and the other artist were very particular about keeping their work areas and tools sanitary (which was a relief). As promised, 20 minutes later I walked out with a tattoo (a celestial design on my upper right back - near the shoulder) that I love. I would definitely go back... read more

Have been coming here, brought my wife and eventually my kids for years. Doug is meticulous and very talented. I get lots of compliments about my tattoos, and continue to refer people here. When my "kids" wanted a tattoo, i made sure it would be done well....and that I wouldn't be paying to "fix" the kind of work I see most 18+ year olds getting. It can take weeks to months to schedule time with Doug. This may not be the place for you if you decide you want a tattoo on a whim....it's not their thing! Clean and no B.S. Still coming back. On a whim, my mother and I decided to get our ears pierced (Helix, specifically). We were in West Chester and a waitress recommended High Rollers so we strolled over. The address is NOT 129 W. Market Street, it is 130 East Market Street, but once we figured that out, we got in and signed a waiver in a jiff. The tattooing and piercing area was clean as a whistle, and the staff was friendly and funny. They made my nervous mother feel comfortable and explained every aspect of the process. While my tattoo turned out great, my tattoo artist, Tony, was very unfriendly and rude, and he didn't make me feel comfortable during the entire experience. He was bluntly annoyed with me when I was trying to find the exact placement of my small tattoo, putting me under a lot of pressure to just settle for a spot that I did not originally want. I sincerely and continuously apologized as I was politely asking to adjust the placement, and he didn't say a word of support or understanding. Honestly, he did a nice job with my tattoo, but made me feel very uncomfortable and rushed. I wouldn't recommend this tattoo parlor only because of its poor customer service and staff. read more

I got my daith pierced by Jay here and I absolutely loved it. I was hoping to get some relief from my chronic migraines with this piercing and I can honestly say I think it has helped ease them a bit. Whether you believe in that or not, my piercing was done beautifully. I was pretty nervous since the only other piercing I'd had was my ear lobes when I was a kid, and needless to say I don't even remember that, but Jay put me at ease and I was able to breathe through it and it wasn't bad at all! I absolutely love the piercing, he did a beautiful job. I have a ton of skin allergies, so he made sure the jewelry was going to work for me and I've had no issues. It's healing nicely, and I will definitely be back for more! All the guys were friendly and funny and it is a really cool atmosphere. Definitely would recommend. read more

I got my first tattoo at High Rollers and I completely regret it. The quality of my tattoo was pretty bad. I walked out and noticed spots that had not been colored well, so I made another appointment for a touch up a few weeks later. The tattoo artist didn't even wipe my skin down with alcohol before he began touching it up (yuk!). When I finished, it looked the same. Uneven color, blotchy, unclean lines. I think he was an apprentice, which is not ideal for a first tattoo...I'd rather have the professional, thanks. I'm actually in the process of removing this tattoo because I don't like it that much. When I returned for my touch up, I also snagged a rook piercing. Overpriced, but oh well. I don't think they pierced it correctly because it still has not healed and it's been almost two years since my piercing. This could be my fault, but I have about 10 other piercings that have all healed properly without any problems. read more

I had went here a few years ago to get my tattoo. Although I was in a lot of pain and nearly passed out, I had a very good experience. I can't remember the name of the woman who did mine but she did it perfectly. Both her and another gentleman were very nice and understanding and very professional. I wish I could remember their names. I had also gotten an industrial piercing done there too by one other gentleman a few years back. Everything is sanitary and I've never had a problem with my tattoo or piercing. I'm definitely going back there when I want another tattoo and/or piercing. read more

Great place! I got my tattoo done here in January 2009 by a woman (I cannot remember her name). Very professional, clean, friendly, and grateful for business. I started to feel nauseous and lightheaded halfway through my session, at which point my artist gave me her bottle of water and a banana from her lunch. Now THAT is customer service! I just went to Doug to have a cover up tattoo done, and I am blown away with the beautiful tattoo he created for me. I had this ugly, black, tribal tattoo that I thought I was going to be stuck with forever, and now I have this beautiful, feminine, flower that is beautfullly shaded and so artistically done. To look at my new tattoo, you ould never in a milllion years think it was a cover up. I can't thank Doug enough for the time he took with me to make sure I was happy and the end result. I just got two tattoos done yesterday. These guys seem really awesome. I heard a lot of good things about this place especially compared to others in town. I went in to get a price and Chris gave me an affordable estimate and said he had time to tattoo both tattoos right then and there. The waiting process was a little longer than I had anticipated but it wasn't bad. At least I knew that he was taking the time to draw up and size the designs exactly the way I wanted. The pain wasn't bad at all and he asked multiple times throughout the tattoo "How does it feel" or something like that (the guy who did my first tattoo --- on my RIBS -- never asked how i was doing and that was painful!) I didn't get anything super detailed but I did get words on my back and the lettering was perfect. The design on my shoulder was done so neatly and his line work was perfect. I am really happy with my tattoos and I will definitely go back to him and I would recommend him or any of the other guys (I watched Tony do a great tattoo also). I mentioned that I heard a lot of good things and heard that they were the best in town. He said they try really hard to keep that reputation. And you know what, I'm going to keep praising and recommending them so others can see how great they are and help to boost their reputation even more. I can't wait to go back! read more

He was nice to me gave me a great price. My friend also got a piercing and she also had a good experience.
