June 4 it will be my grandmothers 2 year anniversary of her passing, and it was the most painful thing in my life. The day that i found out that she had past away I was on my way to a tattoo shop in downingtown to get a tattoo for her. When i called to see if someone could do it they told me they were busy and i could set up an appointment the following week, as I was driving home i realized that it wasnt the right time... Beginning of March i went with my friend to double deez when she got her tattoo and I was talking to Drew telling him my idea of the tattoo that i wanted to get for her. I told him that her favorite flower was an african violet and i love ladybugs and I wanted three dots on the ladybug because it was her lucky number. We set up an appointment and he told me that he would start drawing it up. The day of my appointment I was nervous about getting it done and what it was gonna look like. I walked in and Drew made me feel so comfortable and helped me relax. He showed me the drawing and I got choked up, it was more beautiful then i imagined. This is my third tattoo my first one by Drew and it is my favorite I love it so much. I asked him if he could help me come up with an idea to add on to my first tattoo, i love wearing flipflops or a cute sandal and showing off my tattoo for my mama. It has so much meaning and Im proud to show it off. When people see it they ask me where I got it done and who did it and Im proud to say Drew from Double Deez. I recently saw a really negative, untruthful review written on here from a young nieve lady. Don't know whom she may know or what they have offered her to write such a bad review on this shop. I am 25 years old and have been to several tattoo shops over the years, first tattoo at the age of 17. Wizard ink, extreme ink, m&m's, hot shots and several others which have all ended with a very unsatisfying experience. In the past 4 years I have had Andrew Harris, himself, fix, cover and create his own unique art on several parts of my body. I could not have been happier with what he has done for me. The satisfaction of being able to wear shirts that show off my work instead of shirts that hide bad work. As for professionalism, NEVER have i ever felt uncomfortable in his presence. He always kept a very clean, private area for my more personal work also. I will continue to work with him and also continue to refer all of my clients and coworkers to give him a try. As I am constantly stopped at my work place, calista grand salon and spa, which also is know for our extraordinary professionalism, and also just out in public places, as to where and whom has done my work. In 2009 my younger brother passed away after his battle with Leukemia. I wanted to honor my brother so i decided to have his portrait tattooed on my forearm. In January 2015 Drew Harris brought that dream to life. I was worried at first to have the tattoo done. I wasn't worried about Drew's work, I was worried because it was my brothers portrait. Someone i knew like the back of my hand. Any little mistake i would have been able to point out. I shouldn't have doubted anything for a second. Drew made my experience better than i expected. He made sure i was extremely comfortable and relaxed before starting. A few short hours later i had the most amazing tattoo of my brother on my forearm to show off to the world. There are so many great things I can say about Drew and his team of tattoo artists at Double Deez! I was hooked from the very first tattoo I recieved from Drew 4 years ago. I have now completed two arm sleeves and two detailed portraits that I am CONSTANTLY receiving compliments on anywhere I go. I get stopped several times a week by strangers asking about where I go for my tattoos and what artists I see. I am developed also a relationship with all the other tattoo artists which speaks to their friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness is absolutely amazing and they go above and beyond law requirements to remain sterile and clean. The guys are true artists and have such passion in what they do. They will make you comfortable and relaxed the entire time you are being tattoo'd. They are also realists and will tell you straight up what will and not work to make you a beautiful piece of art. I am a big fan o Double Deez and i highly disagree with the review that was posted and was preformed in an unprofessional manner. When i went into double deez, every time i entered i got nothing but good, professional service. Not to mention they support Recovery. Which is a great attribution to have when running a tattoo shop. I was very satisfied with the work i received. It actually brought in more revenue and they were also pleased with the work they received. Ive seen some great work come from this shop and by far most people that i know would say the same thing. The service was awesome and the artist had very good mannerism. I don't understand why the other shops or anyone would say anything bad about this shop I went in for a tattoo the other day and the artist showed me the comment written on yelp. It obviously is written in anger not fact because I have never seen a shop as clean as this shop not to mention how nice everyone was. The minute I walked in I was kindly helped and Drew worked with my drawing in front of me for a little over an hour to get it just rite. I really like Double Deez, they did my first tattoo, and I'm going back tomorrow for my second. Drew is super nice and friendly( I didnt experience anything like Lena did) he made me feel super comfortable though my whole tattoo, talked me through it, and even made some conversation to keep my mind off it. They do sorta lounge around on the super comfy couch out front, but its their place if no ones there, why shouldnt they? All together a great shop, very clean, very nice, and great art. Owner is a complete jerk, very racist, doesn't know his head from his ass. Went in his shop multiple times and overheard him snickering and teasing about my friends that were with me at the time. Uses the "N" word very ostentatiously. Unprofessional, lounging on the couch every time I walked in acting like getting up to help was a huge chore on his part. read more
