RATING AS A HANG OUT DURING THE DAY…read more On my first walk down Don Juico Ave, I remember looking up and seeing the rooftop infinity pool. I made a mental note to check out that place one day. Well, two years later I found an excuse to go. I was giving my friend a tour of Angeles City, and thought, now would be a perfect time to check out the Aqua Beach Club. We were instructed to take the elevator to the 7th floor. At the reception desk they gave us a waterproof bracelet with a number that the staff use to keep track of our tab; we would then pay our bill on the way out. Entrance is P250 for females and P500 for men, which goes toward any food or drink purchase. Of course the first thing we did was to ascend a flight of stairs to the Sky Bar. It was nice and breezy up there. Beware if you're scared of heights, because they have glass barriers; you can see alllll the waaaay doooown. Since there were no couches nor fans in the Sky Bar, we went back down to the main floor and chose one of the couches. WE SHARED - Watermelon shake made from fresh fruit. This was naturally sweet, but it could have used just a little bit of syrup - Tiramisu was a bit sour, my friend thinks it was because they used cream cheese. Staff are friendly, food is pricy, and the infinity pool that wraps around the club was interesting. I'm not into the club scene, so I was here for the view. Sadly, there's a fire pit area, two cabanas, and a HUGE building under construction that are blocking the view. Except for the Sky Bar, the place feels a bit cramped.

New buildings, old buildings, the struggles and survival of the foreign investors can be assessed with the 6 cabanas and 10 spacious group seating areas around the island bar. There is alot going on in such a small space, however, the atmosphere and ambience is worth the experience. No street level traffic or hustle bustle to get to the next destination. Soft trance music and comfortable seating above the street pollution. Very luxious for Angeles. Upscale of a roof pool at Trump Towers waikiki back in the 2011 timeframe.

As someone who doesn't frequent clubs, I enjoyed the entirety of my night at House Manila. I stayed until Lady Trinity's set. I ended up going home at 4 in the morning. Someone has to let loose once in a while. Last Friday (15th May), House Manila teamed up with radio station, Magic 89.9, to an event called "People from Ibiza." They invited DJ Oliver Schmitz who flew in from Ibiza to Manila for a one-night only event. There were many people in the club that night but I didn't feel so suffocated by it! It didn't feel like we were all forced to be huddled in a cramped space. It was refreshing to be honest. It did leave an impression on me and my friends and I have decided to come back some time soon. House was full of yuppies, models and creative folk. You're sure bound to meet an interesting lot (of people). I know I did!

If you want to get a couch, you need to have a reservation so you'll need to talk to one of their promoters because if you decided to go walk in, the line would probably be long! Also, they close the doors at 12 midnight (I think) so keep that in mind. They have a huge range of drinks to choose from. Wear upscale as much as possible because they won't let you in if you're dressed down or wear too casual clothes. Shorts and slippers aren't allowed when it comes to the guys. And they also ask for a valid I.D. just to make sure you're legal. It's a fun place to party with your friends!

I enjoy the happy dancey trippy vibe but at the same time I don't like my drink spilled or someone constantly bumping into our table / area because everything's so cramped up. You'd never have that problem with Chaos. There's definitely room for both types of people (dance all night or drink till you're sober). When you go to high-end bars, you usually have expectations like I do. I mean, you should get your money's worth, right? What I'm very keen on is the service and followed by the quality of whatever it is I'm paying for. Definitely worth it. They feature top DJs and artists both local and international so be sure to keep yourself updated on what's up.

Not sure if they were actual customers or just hired props. To add insult injury, the final bill was 2x the price of the original menu! When I demanded to see the price list after receiving the final bill, they brought out a completely different menu with higher prices. This place is a scam! Avoid!! If you do end up here, take a pic of the menu when you agree to anything...or better yet, light your money on fire!!

Guilly's is definitely a place you have to visit, even just for the experience. The people definitely know how to party 'til sunrise (even breakfast)! It may not be the "it" place of today, and it is definitely not the "see and be seen" place in the metro, but it is, by far, one of the most unpretentious clubs I have ever been to; with the booming sounds, the cheap alcohol, it's bright lights, the pole dancers, numerous security staff, this place is not bad at all! It's not catered to the creme de la creme of society, but that's the whole point; the people here know how to unwind, let go, have fun, and go wild! So if you're looking for not just a crowded place, but a place where things actually happen, come here and be excited at the fact that here, no one may actually know you; pick your "nom du jour" and see where it takes you! Would I pass as an Oliver? No? Give me another minute...
