Really disappointed about having to write this review. I've been coming here for as long as I've been able to buy alcohol (like 10 years) and never once complained or caused an issue. But this weekend, I bought some bottles of wine and as I uncorked a bottle at home an entire chunk of glass from the side of the bottle shattered! Wine waterfall all over me and the floor! When I came back to the store with the broken bottle of wine the manager said I would have to come back tomorrow when his boss was in. I explained that tomorrow the bottle would do me no good as I was having a party that night. It's not like I was trying to scam them out of a bottle of wine! I just couldn't justify buying another bottle from them after the bottle they sold me shattered in the strangest way. We went back and forth and I asked if this is how they treat return customers and if he wants me to start shopping somewhere else and he said, its okay if you go somewhere else. So... that's what I'll be doing from now on. Really ridiculous customer service at this place. I don't think it's the manager's fault as much as the owner (Andre, I'm told) who doesn't trust his manager enough to make decisions to replace a bottle of $12 wine. If you're not going to trust your manager to run your store, then be at the store to run it yourself. So sorry High Spirits. It's been a good run but I'll be frequenting somewhere else from now on... and I buy A LOT of wine. read more

Came in to buy some moscato. While they have a decent selection-they are over priced. After purchasing some bartenura and Castello del Poggio there seemed to have been a $5.00 difference than with total wine or BJ's. During these times of Covid, have to support the local businesses. read more

I was pleasantly surprised they carried 3 hard to find beverages: 1-Figenza (Fig Vodka) 2-Ginger Beer (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic) 3-Sandara Rosé They saved the day and party!!! read more

I came here at 9:58pm, no joke! The doors were locked but they let me in and said I had 2 minutes. As soon as i turned my head to see the selection I got dizzy with how much this place had to offer. Two minutes would never be enough here :( They have the dogfishhead you cannot find anywhere else along with a wonderful selection of other craft beer (local/imported/domestic) they've got it all!! As if the impressive beer selection wasn't good enough they went ALL OUT with the most amazing assortment of spirits. Oh and btw all this is very reasonably priced some even cheaper than my go to for liquor... gonna be making the treck here more often! read more

This liquor store is a few blocks from my house and I absolutely love it. They have everything I could ever want or need and things I don't. I think they're prices are fair and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's street parking out front or a lot in the back. read more

This place is horrible all around. However, today's experience was extraordinarily bad. My boyfriend and I are frequent customers, and today we bought two bottles of wine and some beer. As we were leaving, my boyfriend went to help a delivery man come in the door with his boxes and in the process our bag hit the door and shattered a bottle of wine. Instead of refunding us for the bottle or giving us a new one, since it happened while we were helping THEM, they made us pay for the replacement. Not only that but the manager of the shift was rude about the whole thing and said that since it happened outside the doorway, it was no longer their responsibility.TERRIBLE customer service, especially for people who frequent the place. Boycott has now begun. read more

Went there today and bought a two bottles of wine and beers. As I was walking out I try to help a gentleman make a delivery to the store by opening the door and the bottle of wine broke in the process. I went back inside to explain to the manager and he wouldn't help me at all, saying that it was not his problem because it was outside the store even though I never closed the door. I won't be going back there any time soon, the customer service really disgusts me. read more

Prices are $1-2 higher than other liquor stores. They have old beer in the cold section such as summer seasonal selections. I haven't bought a bottle of wine that wasn't dusty so don't be surprised if older wines have turned or have started to turn. 2 stars because you can play the Lotto and the staff is nice. read more

I suppose a well-stocked liquor store doesn't even have to try to provide customer service...but ignoring a customer knocking at the door locked 10 minutes before closing time? Christmas week? Not nice. There a number of locally accessible specialty stores as well as a large "chain" store nearby, which I will now go to. read more

In honor of small business Saturday I bought my boss's Xmas present from this store. I knew it would be a few dollars more... But not $9 more for one bottle!! I went to return it and I got the run around. First I was told that they could only process cash returns, then there was an unwritten policy, then that only the owner can process credit card returns. (But the clerks didn't know when the "boss would be in again"). I called and made sure he was there and came back the next day. The owner refused to return my merchandise (practically called me a liar for saying I got it for the price I did). He started to lecture me (seriously.. He wanted me to stand there and LISTEN to him go on and on about other customers he refused returns from). When I interrupted to ask if he was going to take my return he said "no!" He was rude, has shady business practices and should really look into that rodent smell right by the register. Needless to say, I'm having my credit card company dispute it and I won't be shopping there again. Small businesses are supposed to offer superb customer service. Obviously this store didn't get the memo. read more

THE OWNERS/EMPLOYEES ARE SCUMBAGS. I forgot my phone here and had my friend use the "find my iPhone" app and it tracked my phone back to this location, of course. I went back there and the girl behind the counter looked me dead in the eyes and lied to my face that she had not seen my phone. A guy working with her corroborated her story. Fine, I told them I was going to the police station then to report it stolen and that its last known location was her establishment. Later at the station, my friend chances another call to my phone and the same guy from the store answers and claimed some BS excuse that some "old man" came in and dropped off my phone. I had not been anywhere else after arriving on that street and parking my car; even if I had, why would a Good Samaritan drop it off at their liquor store of all places?!? Why not the police station?? I saw it on her face that she lied to me earlier about not seeing the phone, so I'm glad my offhanded comment about going to the police scared her enough to return the phone. I passed by and picked it up and she had the most shameless look on her dumb face. So anyway, not only is this store's merchandise overpriced (as other reviewers have said) but the owners and their staff are very dishonest people. I for one do not like to further the endeavors of dishonest people, so I will never stop by this dump ever again. Be aware of those around you as clearly many people lack even common decency. read more
