What a warm welcome we received when visiting High Street Social twice on our trip home to Treorchy! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, the place was spotlessly clean and the food was outstanding! The first time I had the eggs Benedict and the staff happily changed the ham (which was fresh and home cooked not processed) for smoked salmon for me. The result was perfectly cooked eggs in a delicious sauce with a generous helping of smoked salmon. On my return I ordered the Welsh Rarebit with sticky Marmite onions. When I expressed concern about the marmite the chef sent out a sample of the onions for me to try! The dish was so delicious and beautifully presented! All in all would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful spot to one and all! Bonus points for the community food bank, beautiful Japanese photo exhibition, safe place to date info on the bathroom door and the Welsh Pride flag showing that everyone was welcome!
