PHENOMENAL service-- great food, great prices. High tide is the perfect stop for filling fried food and well-priced drinks. The prices are significantly lower than the surrounding businesses; they take pride in not price-gouging. The onion rings were legitimately delicious. They have many vegetarian and vegan options for fried veggies of all sorts and grilled cheese and veggie wraps. What made our experience phenomenal was the service. The bar manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. I asked her for area recommendations and she went so far as to pull out a magazine and circle her recommendations (including notes like "great pizza" and "go here then stop over there"). High Tide is a great experience & I would highly recommend it. Whether it's for karaoke night or a chill night. There's good music, cold drinks & great food. This crew is so hard working through all circumstances. They're honest, good people & that's the type I love to support. Busy night or not they do their best to take care of you. Stopped in to get a summer bar crawl paper. Bartender was friendly and joked with us a bit. Food was typical for bar food. Deep fried pretzel with cheese and an ice cold beer. How could you go wrong. Not a fancy place but if you want a quick bite to eat while your walking the strip in Geneva this was a good choice. Small on the inside of the bar but it looks like they may have a patio that you can take your drink out there and eat and drink. Overall fast friendly service. That being said I would stop in again the next time I am here. read more

TL;DR: I would recommend High Tide to anyone who likes a relaxed environment, great food, and domestic beer at a good price. The bar serves traditional American bar food, with some additional comfort plates. I usually get a burger or the tuna melt. The food is all well-priced, and offers great taste and good portions. 3-5 beers are on draft, including craft, domestic, and import. The draft beers are served in a plastic cup, and would taste better in a glass. There is a large selection of bottled beer, including some unusual domestics like Bud Light Platinum, Iron City, and Yuengling Black & Tan. Alcohol is cheaper ($3.00 domestic bottles) than high-end restaurant bars on the strip, especially the Old Firehouse and Lakehouse Inn. Most of the bottles are domestics, with some imports. High Tide is a small dive bar, with 5-10 booths and about 15 barstools. In the evening, it gets crowded quickly. Despite the crowding, the environment is very relaxed. The interior feels like a seaside shanty, something that not every bar on the strip offers. The temperature is cool; and there is wood paneling and nautical decorations, in addition to beer signs and flat screens. Mirrors help the feeling of crowdedness, as they give the feeling that the space is bigger. One pool table is open in the back of the bar. There is a jukebox available, and a space for live entertainers on some nights. For jukebox connoisseurs, mainstream rock and country are good choices. The bartenders are always friendly and personable, and appear to enjoy working at High Tide. Food arrives in a reasonable amount of time, and the bartenders give each customer personal attention. I never have stood around waiting to place an order, even for a drink. Once, the bartender gave me five dollars to play nineties rock, which was a lot of fun. The clientele is a spectrum of people just looking to enjoy a night out. There is no telling who someone will meet on a given night. Most go to explore Geneva-On-The-Lake. I have met investors, out-of-town tourists, and even seen a bridal shower during my visits to High Tide. Despite being a dive bar, I have never met an obnoxious patron or seen any aggressive behavior, even at night. The customers are generally cheerful, relaxed, and just want to have a good time. High Tide has been a staple of the strip for years. I have always enjoyed the food, beer, and overall experience. I try to visit at least once each time I go to Geneva-on-the-Lake. read more

We are from out of town and use yelp to find local establishments. We decided to check out High Tide after seeing other yelp reviews. We got a beer tower which was served with frozen beer mugs. The 100oz tower stayed cold until wee finished it. The wings were amazing! We had mild, honey bbq and Thai peanut. The honey bbq were by far my favorite flavor! Not what you expect from a bbq flavor they were more honey flavored and delicious!!! Highly recommend for anyone in the area. Definitely a dive bar with Very friendly staff. All of the bars on the strip are casual and have that dive bar feel, but this one is one of the better ones because of the staff. It's also in the middle of the strip, so a good location. There's lots of seating at the bar, and then low tops on one side of the room also. Hi fellow travelers, Just came into Geneva to visit my pops and needed a place to grab some grub. He said to go to High Tide Tavern, I thought " It's 10 am, little too early for that, I'm looking for food" He said they do food and its really good. I rolled the dice and hoped for the best. Standard looking bar on both the inside and outside, nothing to write home about. We were welcomed with a friendly hello the moment we walked in and had fresh coffee brought to us before we even sat down! Dee, the bar girl/cashier/cook/server and her helper were amazing, very snarky and warm. I ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs and my dad had the same. Of course, being a doubting you know what, I had set the bar pretty low and after about 5 minutes our food was delivered. I was impressed. Hot, big, super tasty. All the food with drink and tip was $18! Needless to say, I came in a doubter and left a believer. If you are a lone traveler or family of four, I recommend High Tide for food. This is my fave stop at the lake!! The food is just bar food, but it's prepared well, and yummy all the same. They have a deep fried am cheese stuffed pretzel that's amazing, and fried banana peppers too. The wings are fantastic as well. Was there on our anniversary 10/15/2015 - I give this place 5 stars not because it's black tie and fine dining but the prices are fantastic, the ice cold mugs ....really amazing ice cold mugs.. They are serving beer right! Super cheap deals on Monday - Thursday specials for a quick snack or just a few bucks and your full! This is the deal of the town and you get more for what you pay for. Love the ladies working behind the bar too. They are down to earth and personal and makes you want to stay longer and spend more money! Love this place, and they have the best wings ANYWHERE! Even though GotL is mostly a summer town, we visit here year-round. The staff and locals are very friendly. Everything on the menu is good! Beer is served all year, but liquor only 6 months out of the year (although they do have 20% alcohol like 'Old Crow' and that kind of stuff). read more

If I could give a 0 star review I would. I ordered from DoorDash at least 15 minutes passed and the restaurant had not accepted the order so I called to confirm it was received (the money was already drafted from my bank account). The man that answered the phone was VERY rude. I was told that he could not do a order that large and if I wanted it I would have to give him my credit card information over the phone. I told the man that my card has already been charged and it reflects that it went to High Tide Tavern. I was then told a completely different story, he said he never signed up for door dash and doesn't know how I even placed an order, which is weird because he just told me he couldn't fulfill my order due to the size so he must have received it. He proceeded to tell me he only has 1 bartender working and it's ladies pool league and there is no way he could do this large of an order. The bar seemed like fun. I went in as my last stop on the monsters bar crawl. I ordered three shots of Jameson to finish off three of our crawls. One of my friends had stopped drinking because he had to drive. My other friend and I took two of the three shots. I immediately stopped and asked the bartender if it was kesslers. She denied it and I asked her to pour a shot of it next to the so called Jameson. Which she did. She agreed that it smelled and tasted the same. I told her I would not pay for that but I would happily buy a beer to finish off my crawl. She immediately got an attitude with me. I explained that I work for a craft beer and whiskey bar and that Jameson happens to be my whiskey of choose and there is no way that it is Jameson. I told her once again that I would happily pay for another drink to finish the crawl but not the false Jameson. At which point she started yelling at me and threw the t shirts at me. I once again said I had no issue paying for drinks that I ordered and she kept screaming for me to get out. I left. Tonight's experience is an all time low for me at a bar considering I run one for a living. read more
