I spoke with Patrick who was extremely helpful and pleasant. Patrick scheduled a service technician to stop by my house within 3 hours. Alex, the technician called 20 minutes prior to coming over. When Alex arrived I explained the issue. He knew exactly what was wrong. It was a simple, no tools required fix. Alex is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to how I can avoid the issue in the future. I hope that J&C reads this review because Patrick and Alex need to be recognized as outstanding employees. They installed all new electronics and safety equipment. It took longer to get the door due to Covid and delivery from manufacturer, which they told me about. When Ted, from the Window People, came out to measure he wrote up the $2,700+ window order for white hardware even though the window he was replacing and every window in the house had brass hardware. The new window was installed and later I noticed the hardware did not match the old window. When I asked to have the hardware replaced, Ted wanted over $100 to swap it out. Ted and I went back and forth over "I signed for white hardware" versus "You were instructed that I wanted the exact same window as before but longer vertically". Ted wants the money... I called customer service at Marvin Corporate and Jill was great. She sent me the hardware as a courtesy at no cost. Marvin makes a great window but where you purchase it from is important and if you are looking for reasonable support I would not call The Window People.
