We then took a bus/walking tour. Our tour guide, Hollis, was energetic and engaging. There were several tour groups on the buses, but Hollis led our group and did an outstanding job. As we walked, he took the time to have 1:1s with each student to get to know them and their interests better. Every member of the tour team did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome, sharing lots of information, and being open to answering questions. 10/10 experience highly recommend!

My money and my daughter went to the University of Arkansas, so Woo Pig! Soooie! At least that's in the Southeast Conference. UGA is in the rolling hills of northeast Georgia and is one of the more picturesque campuses in the South. You can't miss the stately arch that marks the historic entrance (no photo as some recent grads were taking their own photos and it would have been creepy) to the ivy-covered buildings and the charm and architecture of the campus. Of course, Athens itself has a vibrant cultural life that is known for its music scene having given birth to both R.E.M. and the B-52s. The city seamlessly blends college-town enthusiasm with a strong local identity, making it not just a backdrop for student life, but a destination in its own right. Bathrooms and rooms are nice and clean. Whatever they use as their airfreshners are awesome and I want it for my house! The folks that work at the Board of Regents are super nice and smart. This organization is the governing body for the University System of GA, representing over 20 schools through out the state. They have a sister organization called SRS that provides a value add for their schools with competitively priced software agreements and peripherals.

Communication at all levels can be difficult. Front desk seems nonexistent unless you are physically in front of them. Staff is subpar except for a few enthusiastic instructors. I've had better experiences with online classes as the interaction is low & expectations are clear. The cosmetology department is terrible. I will not go into depth, just know you will be swindled and bamboozled out of your hard-earned money. The instructors for cosmetology are rude and stern. The Early Childhood Education program is decent but needs to be updated and expectations for each class need to be clearly stated. Overall, I am glad to be done with my degree here at this school. I plan to further my education elsewhere and would only recommend this school if you live nearby for convenience. If you have transportation to go somewhere else....GO!

It seems like the teachers are just waiting for an opening at UGA, not really engaged with students. We also caught the tail end of food week in Athens - the food at the Savannah Room was delicious, and the experience indelible. The concierge service was first rate, with young students helping with our bike rental (free) and shuttling to and from the nearby botanical garden. We decided to stay an extra night. The only minor critique, and i mean really minor, is that as they transition to cashless, they haven't changed the washer/dryer from coin op, but we undertand that this is underway. We were caught in a torrential downpour and needed to dry clothes before our flight the next day. Overall, kudos to the UGA Hospitality program for creating a friendly, professional, attentive culture among the staff here.

I swear, I can't stand this place if I could give it 0 stars I would. First of all you should know…read moreit's a training practice so you'll see a lot of interns. I started coming to this place September 2017 and realized early that they aren't any help. I had several problems that would cause a lot of pain with confirmed diagnosis. Each time I went there to get help they would test me for something unrelated to my pain. They weren't interested in helping me. Not only that they told me I'll be on medical leave and then after a surgery refused to signed the forms causing me to lose out on my leave pay. I'm lucky to have another doctor to fill out the leave forms or I wouldn't have a job right now. At my last appointment they were worried about bi-poplar which isn't my diagnosis at all but it's on my record for them and they never treated me for bi-polar but yet they were discussing something I don't have when I was there for my pain from surgery. I never did find out what's causing my pain. If you need a doctor that will help and listen you in your time of need don't go here! Worse experience ever.
