I used to really love this church before the previous pastor passed away. Sadly, returning a few…read moreyears later, a few times, it was a completely different church. The pastor was sleepy uninspired and didn't even look like he wanted to be preaching. To say the music was bad is giving it some grace. But the praise band, if you can call them that, seemed very much like they wanted to be noticed more than God. The congregation was sleepy and uninspired. I wish I could say this was just one visit, but I thought I'd keep giving it a little bit, but it never changed. I was very surprised because it always looks like something is going on at this church. But I wonder if, since the really devout and beautiful leadership of the pastor who passed away, has this church not been traded God for outside appearances? If you're looking to be spiritually fulfilled, stay away from this church at all costs! I hate to give this review, but they took a beautiful place and made it a joke.

It feels a bit awkward rating a church, but my family was so impressed with this church that I…read morewanted to share the news. We were warmly welcomed by several people upon arrival and after the service. We felt "taken care of" by the people sitting around us, meaning they were quick to help if needed. There is something special about this church where you can tell the parishioners shine the Lord's light in small (even subtle) and big ways. There are too many wonderful ways to mention in a quick review. If you attend this church, I have NO doubt you'll know what I mean. The church is incredibly organized, which is welcoming too. If someone doesn't know what to do, simply look at the screens because they'll guide you, so you may easily participate. Members of the church have name tags on, so if you have questions, you know who to turn to for answers. The church bulletin is detailed, and impressively, there was art/drawing of the day's main scripture on the cover. Today was one of the church's communion days, and we sat a little nervous knowing we want to participate but might not be able to do so for health reasons. Then, the thoughtful announcement that there are indeed gluten-free wafers as an option, and everyone is to dip their bread (Body of Christ) into the grape juice (Blood of Christ) rather than drink from the chalice/cup. With auto immune issues, this is a wonderful way for us to participate. For those of you who can eat regular bread, this church uses fresh loaves of bread, and the community is literally breaking bread with one another...how lovely. We also received a homemade gift, which was a carefully crafted ornament of the cross made from navy blue yarn. We love it and are hanging it in our kitchen as a reminder of the love shown to our family this Sunday. May our dear Lord continue to bless this church and all members of its congregation.
