I wanted what appears to be a deck of classic Pokemon cards, the originals from 1999, it was…read morelabeled as partially sealed with a firm price of $69 ($74 out the door) and when the woman came to help me at the locked cabinet she asked what I wanted and I told her the box of Pokémon cards from 1999, which was wedged between boxes of newer, bigger sets of the cards which I'm not interested in. The label said partially sealed (it was opened once but had the torn plastic wrap on it still) I asked her how I would know the cards are in the taped up bag/ box and she told me to shake it so I did, she said the sound I heard was the cards in there. She took it to the register and told me to meet one of the other ladies at the counter who could help me. The woman at the register asked what I wanted and I pointed saying "the trading cards she just put on the counter" in reply the woman at the register raised her voice a bit to where the other 5-6 customers in the store at the time could hear her saying "Pokémon trading cards!" She then charged me up and removed a tiny white tag (about the size of a dime) from a string on the bagged box and placed the tiny tag behind the counter. Once I paid $74 at the register I opened the box while going out the door and immediately turned around through the entry door because it was not filled with Pokémon cards, but clear empty plastic sleeves and a crumpled up piece of paper! I went right back to the counter and even though the box has a large sticker on it that says it's a deck box of original WOTC(original printers of the American cards), one of the ladies pulled up the tag they removed that specified card sleeves, contrary to the huge tag provided to me in the photo. This labeling is intentionally misleading and the only right thing to do would be a full refund in exchange for the originally mislabeled product but they refused, even though I hadn't left yet and they thought they were cards too! I am extremely upset at the fact that the staff was unable to do what would have been ethical.

They're part of an RV hospitality program, so I stayed her in my camper van, and the set up was genuinely convenient. The stone parking lot was level, the communication was excellent and despite being right next to the interstate, it was surprisingly quiet through the night. They're also directly across from a Love's, which makes grabbing last-minute snacks or drinks incredibly easy. For a quick, safe and friendly stop just east of Saint Louis, the White Barn is a solid option. Simple, welcoming and exactly what you want when you're rolling across Southern Illinois. However, here at the new location in Glen Carbon, that is not the case. There's nothing nearby, but the positive is the layout and space of the store is so much better. Browsing the GB makes you feel like you are shopping, RH or Pottery Barn. Also, I am a big fan of Olive and Cocoa, a mail order catalog. My most recent visit, I found several items from the catalog, in TGB and I'd rather buy local, then from a major catalog. This store is amazing, the staff is always eager to help. If you shop like me and don't need help, they are cool with that, too. I can spend my money, without any help. If you're decorating your home, or if you need a gift for mom, your BFF and the school teacher, I'm telling you to come here and shop. I challenge anyone to come here and try to leave without buying something. You'll always find an item you gotta have.

This is a new upcoming thrift store as well as a craft shop. I believe they offer events from time to time. Time will tell. The kids found a few items. There's a sign posted that indicates pricing per colored tag. If it didn't have a tag, she offered us to provide an Honest answer as what we thought it would be. ranging from $4-15ish There's all sorts of Knick-knacks. From books, toys, vintage furniture, objects, dresses, and then some. They do have a Facebook page you can follow as far as hours it varies but Sunday was from 12-8. They have them Posted online. A step back in time is how you will feel when you enter this charming store. It just recently…read moreopened and it is filled with memories of long ago. The store front is painted red and yellow and green. Once you go inside it reminds you of an old Mercantile shop in an old Western movie. The south side wall is covered in "penny" candy, which I'm sure isn't a penny now though! If you have an old favorite, you can probably find it here. The building is long and narrow and the walls are old wood as is the big long counter. You will find lots of vintage items as well as lots of handmade treasures. I love the handmade rag rugs in lots of beautiful colors...even pink, my favorite! There are handmade cloth and batting snowmen that are just adorable and very well made. A few antiques too that for sale. What I really love is the "feel" of the place. It is charming, quaint and a great addition to Pocahontas! It's worth the drive to step back in time and maybe pick up a special treasure and a handful of sweets!
