I went in for a quick 30 minute massage today. It was my first massage with Paty. She did an AMAZING job! I needed an isolated massage on areas of my back that were strained and tight. She found tight areas in my glutes and hips that I didn't realize were so sore. She used techniques to target my glutes and stretch my neck that I hadn't experienced before. I was able to schedule a massage with her the same day which I appreciated because I truly needed immediate relief. Highland Massage Company offers heated massage beds, linens are clean and fresh, and the rooms are cozy and quiet. Paty gave me recommendations and suggestions based on the tightness she felt in my back. I'd highly recommend her and I'll also be back to see her for future massages. read more

I've been going to Highland Massage Company for over a year now, so I can say that they are consistently great (and I'm pretty picky with massages). Paty is my go-to masseuse because she is amazing at working out the kinks and also giving a relaxing experience. I tried out a couple of massage places in the area and none of them came close to the quality of HMC. They have monthly memberships that end up being a good deal or packages that offer less commitment, but still a deal. read more

I had an appointment at 1:30 today, I arrived late and was apologetic. The massage therapist Flower said she'd deduct 10 minutes for my tardiness. I simply asked "can you waive it for the first time". She immediately showed an attitude and stare and said "I have a schedule, I'm doing you an favor for deducting 10 minutes." I was very caught offguard by this reaction to be honest. In my opinion, it was normal to ask if she could still do the full 60 minutes. I would've been okay if she said it was the policy. My rating is not about the policy on tardiness, it's about her attitude when I asked/negotiated. I went there to relax, not argue...The massage itself was just OK, not great at all because her elbow is thin and sharp which I didn't like. The worst part is she asked me about my problems, I told her neck/shoulder/upper body, she spent most of the time on my legs and arms. I was so confused, why do you even ask....I would NEVER be back. read more

I made no mention of disability in my review, yet you have degraded, patronized, and infantilized your own employee in attempt to discredit my review as ableist and discriminatory, and to justify your entire business's poor service. You have breached the Americans with Disabilities Act by disclosing personal information about one of your employees to the public, all to distract from your company's failures. If I were the employee you have called out, I would report you to the Equal Opportunity Commission. It wasn't the employee that you have singled out who created a bad experience- it was multiple employees' actions. The employee who greeted us who was wearing Bronco's pajamas. The employee who was wearing a children's cartoon shirt and leggings. The failure to use enough massage oil. The lack of amenities offered to one guest over the other. The less-than-satisfactory massages and unrelaxing environment. It's disturbing to me that you would try to distract from your company's lack of professionalism and good service by trying to paint me as ableist. You are taking my critiques and twisting them up into something they're not. Hopefully you can reflect on how inappropriate and ableist that is in itself, and do better. read more

I have an issue with an inflamed disc between C4 and C5. I went to a surgeon but the area is too risky. I tried chiropractors but it didn't help. Massage is the only thing that works. The massage itself felt great, but my appointment started late and finished early, and only focused on specific areas rather than massaging symmetrically or being holistic. It also included several minutes of low grade stretching, which felt like they were trying to run out the last few minutes of the appointment and wasn't what I was looking for when I paid for a massage. Same thing as many others, Groupon from a friend. Have a lot of neck tension and was a little banged up from snowboarding so I said what the hell. Had a brief issue scheduling but was called and emailed quickly to resolve everything. On the same page I went in and Hannah could not have been more pleasant. Explaining her training, my goals, what to expect, ways to relieve further pain on my own time. Clean office. Driven past it numerous times on my way to Sprouts or a local brewery. Groupon or not I would certainly consider buying a package and returning. No need to look elsewhere in my opinion. read more

I've had some good massages from this place - but there is no receptionist and my massage appointments always get screwed up, and then not only am I the loser as I don't get my massage when needed, but the therapist loses out as well. Very poor ownership which ruins the experience. read more

I told Daniel I do a lot of computer work and that my problem areas were my shoulders. Using that info, he gave an amazing deep tissue massage that felt customized for those behind a desk/laptop, focusing on my shoulders, arms, and back. It gave me great insight into my poor posture. It was difficult, but thats what I was looking for with a deep tissue massage. His follow up advice was great. I plan to go back to Daniel for my next massage. read more
