Wanted to take my dad fishing for his birthday and was recommended Highroller by a friend. If you're into a no-frills fun day out on the water with little to worry about aside from bringing your own drinks and snacks, this is the place to be. Booked ahead of time for 5 people on a Saturday from 1p-5p. Arrived at 12:15pm as was recommended to check-in and the boat was almost full already. They made sure to make space for all 5 of us to stand together and all was good! The guys on board were so helpful in untangling lines, making sure everyone had plenty of bait, grabbing nets and unhooking fish after they were caught, etc. I had no idea what to expect, but we had an absolute blast. Joe was awesome! $45 per person includes 4 hours on the water, bait, and rod rental. Appreciated the bathroom on board as well! Great day in AC. Thanks guys! read more

Im not sure who the captain of this boat is but his license needs to be taken. I was fishing from land toady and this guy comes flying in 20 yards from shore if not closer and runs everyone's line over and gets my line wrapped around his boat. Than he proceeds to literally stop right in front of me so close that i could jump on his boat if i got a running start. Then have everyone drop there line in the water where i have been fishing all day. Im not one to write a bad review as this is this mans lively hood but this is not the first time he has done this and it has only gotten worse. I hope you go out of business pal. read more

Felt like we spent more time moving than fishing and just one keeper on boat after 4 hour trip (know it happens but Captain seemed at a loss). Been on many boats over the years and am used to "heads" on fishing boats, but this had the most disgusting "head" I've ever seen (broken, dirty toilet seat on floor and unbelievably filthy). My friend spent whole trip helping another passenger (foreigner on first fishing trip) with rod/reel/bait instead of fishing as mate barely came to our side. read more

Never in my life have I had to deal with the amount of rude and condescending remarks that I witnessed while waiting to go out on a fishing trip and while on the trip itself. It was like the crew didn't want me, or anyone else for that matter, there and they were making it very evident. We all have days when it's a little harder to go to work, but you suffer through it especially when you're running a service-oriented job. My recommendation, for a friendly family fun fishing trip, go see the Captain at the Keeper in Margate. Always a good time. read more

Huge shout out to High Roller fishing and their crew!! Great job as usual. chris and Captain Mike are great- helpful with fishermen/ women of all ages / skill levels and even seniors. Their website is well organized and it's easy to bo a trip online. We have been fishing on the High Roller for years- with groups ranking from 2 to 12 people are are always pleased! already looking g forward to our next outing together! Geeat job!! read more

I give credit when its due and i gave a good review last year when the owner was captain but this time his son was at the reigns and after 3 hours(4 hour trip)of fishing a regular customer went and told the mate that out of 10 times that we dropped our lines we were under the boat 8 times(being under the boat this trip was a pain in the butt) and he said ok and he told the capt. There were only 3 more drops left ....so does he give us the last 3? No he gives us one more so we finished at a 10-3 split and most of us on that side including the older gentleman who is a regular was not so happy and even the mate came to us and said "well i tried ". (No complaints about the mate though.....he did a good job and was engaging and helpful) read more

Always catch fish and crew was friendly and helpful. Make sure to ask them who won the pool for the trip or they will keep your money, should nobody land a keeper. read more

I don't know who the Captain was on Saturday July 16th but what a jerk!! We had 7 guys who paid a total of $280 for our own fishing tourney that we've been doing for 10 years now. He was miserable the entire trip and at the start he absolutely shamed and berated one of our guys because he was accidentally talking (actually asking the first mate a question about the pool) during his Captain speech. We were excited to be on the trip and this guy just took all the wind out of our sails and the trip was miserable from the start. All we caught was seaweed so not sure he even knows where to go, he didn't on Sat. I think he intimidated all the other customers as well with his rant because it was the quietest trip we have ever been on, seemed like everyone was afraid to have fun. Our guy even apologized because he didn't realize the Captain was speaking yet because we were in the back of the boat. Will never use this outfit ever again. He must have had a bad night. read more

Boat was a dump. Captain was rude, disrespectful to customers, and had no intrest in catching fish. We were "drifting" at about 20mph ( drift anchor? NOPE ) and not one person caught a fish. I normally love fishing ( even when they aren't biting) but this trip was not even enjoyable. Captain and mate could not have cared less. Even had to go refill my own bait. Save your money & go elsewhere. read more

If you want to catch fish, this is the boat to do it on!!! Mike is a great captain and is so funny!!! There is a contest every day for catching a fish at the exact weight, pool sometimes gets way up there!!! Try a delicious Slim Jim!!! read more

I called this guy 4 months, 2 months then 1 month prior to a trip for a bachelor party. I called him the day of to make sure he still had room. He said hey no problem we have plenty of room just get here by 12:15 (boat left at 1) 15 of us drove an hour and a half and got there by 12:20 only to find this captain half lit and telling us the boat was full and sorry should of been on time!! Complete joke!!!!! Will never go back to this guy. Boat looks like he made it out of tin cans as well. read more
