I was picky because I didn't want anything super ugly, but it had to be comfortable. I was able to wear clogs or shoes with open backs, but they were not supportive and I was not able to walk well. I stumbled the Anodyne brand at a medical supply store and found it way quicker to order them online then through the store. I've bought so many pairs that I lost track and had to get rid of all of my previous shoes. I often receive compliments on them and they are very comfortable. My foot swells off and on, but especially at night and I am able to walk safely and comfortably with my Anodyne shoes. Luckily, due to the stability of the shoes I have never fallen since my Cancer surgery on my ankle. The quality is wonderful in the style is really great. I have had people even ask me if these are Hokas, but the toe boxes are wide and they are very easy to get on and off. I've had to return a few pairs as I experimented experimented with size and my returns were very easy. You will not be disappointed buy these padded and comfortable shoes that happened to be stylish. I just purchased the black booties today and they are fabulous.
