If you haven't had the chance to the Neon Museum in Las Vegas, it's worth it. This store sells souvenirs and more from the Neon Museum. There are the usually magnets and such but there are also other cool one of kind mementos like a key fob with key to the defunct Windgate Motel or a matchbook from the Dunes Casino. It's a fun escape and the prices are any worse than the typical Hudson News airport stores. Instead of one those lame 2 for $30 t-shirts bring back a piece of Las Vegas history.

REVIEW: I haven't yet been to the Neon Museum so this gift shop in the LAS airport really scratched an itch I didn't know I needed scratched! I love Las Vegas. I love old-time Vegas. I love Vegas. Oh and I love Vegas. I had a few hour layover on my last flight so I decided to explore LAS since I haven't flown in over 10 years. I was so excited to stumble on to this store! Typical airport gift shop with so many varieties of awesome souvenirs. The young lady was really friendly and I could tell she loved her job. She was making/having sincere convos with travelers and I heard her wish every customer as they left her shop, "Safe Travels." I bought a magnet and a pin for the nostalgia of the old Fitzgeralds (which sadly, now is The D). I also bought a coaster that had a picture of the Stardust Hotel. Next on my bucket list is to visit the actual Neon Museum. I'll let you know!

They tell you one price and show you that same price on the screen after ringing you up. But they charge your card MORE than what they tell you and show on the screen. I received two receipts for the same transaction with two different amounts, two different addresses, two different phone numbers and two different store names! This is intentional to avoid transparency. There are several of these stores in Vegas with similar names all owned by the same scammers. When I noticed the discrepancy in the amounts, I asked to void the transaction and they refused. I asked for my change and they refused. I asked for the owner and they refused to provide any information. Although it was a small amount, I disputed the transaction with my credit card company over the deception. In the attached photos, the register receipt fraudulently says my credit card was charged $4.32 and the credit card receipt shows my card was actually charged $4.49. THIS IS FRAUD AND IT IS ILLEGAL! You will definitely get overcharged here and they sell cheap useless crap that will break as soon as you leave, so shop at your own risk.

Conveniently located inside The Cromwell right at the entrance from the parking lot, it offers a variety of goods such as jewelry, accessories, books, apparel, and even select beverages in a fridge. I'll be honest, the stuff here is NOT cheap. But because the cashier was sweet enough to offer us a pair of board shorts that were not only on clearance but also discounted at an extra 30% off I really can't say anything too terrible. Would this be someplace I'd actively search for on a trip to Vegas? No, but I would certainly say that it served its purpose in providing us with some apparel on a tight schedule.

The retail store is connected to Gilley's Bar, when I visit there was awesome live music. Inside is a small store, they feature a nice selection of Gilley's clothing for men and women, shirts, cowboy hats, beer mugs, shot glasses, seasonal winter poncho, it's a nice fabric and so soft! There's also bags, belts, purses, wallets, magnets, themed merchandise including buckles, keychains, and cute personalized mini bottles. They carry beautiful jewelry set by Montana Silversmiths, and custom engraved belt buckles in fabulous styles. The sales associate Thor showed me a buckle he purchased at Gilley's, mentioned it's real easy to attach to the belt, and looks very cool! The store opens on weekdays from 12pm to 7:30pm, and on weekends from 12pm to 12am. Even if it's a small store, the vibe is pretty nice because they're right next door to Gilley's Bar, and there's live music. Service from Maria is welcoming, kind, and helpful, especially Thor he is such a pleasant person to speak with, very polite and friendly in responding to questions.

However, if you are staying at the hotel-casino and need something, then this is a great place to stop by. They are similar to Hudson News at the airport. Whatever you might find at an airport shop is what you are likely to find here. Perhaps one exception is the selection of alcohol. There are a number of bottled and canned cocktails as well as wine, beer, and hard liquor available here. Also like at the airport, there is one self-check out and a person on duty to check you out. The self-check out was busy and the people using it were having some trouble, so the lady who checked me out at the register was super friendly and helpful. Although pricy like at the airport, will definitely come back if there is something we need during our say.

It's got all those things you'd want from a Las Vegas Gift Shop, with the fair city emblazoned on t-shirts, jackets, yoga pants, sunglasses, picture frames, magnets, baseball caps, shot glasses, flasks, mugs, flip-flops, keychains, pens, coasters, lanyards, snow globes, and the rest. You can also pick up a snack or drink, if somehow there's nothing the casino floor waiters and waitresses can do for you. A personal fave is the fiery orange, El Dia de los Muertos-themed merch ... it's great if you're looking for a more uniquely styled gift to take home. I am, however, disappointed in the minimal amount of STRAT-centric souvenirs. I'm guessing this has to do with the Las Vegas Gift Shop brand or some business agreement with STRAT (so they can sell their own souvenirs), but I think people on the lobby floor of the STRAT expect plenty of miniature-sized STRATs and the like. It's a good store that screams, "Viva Las Vegas!" ... just not "Viva Las Estratosfera!"
