We had been driving for hours and were so hungry but still had a while before reaching our next stop in Little Rock. We found this place only because it was 24/7. We're sure glad we made the stop! The food was delicious and tasted fresh. The service was a little slow but they were working hard so I didn't mind. I just took the kids to the attached gift shop to kill some time while waiting for our food. The food was really good! The burger and fries were delicious! We got several things but the thing that wasn't favorite was the mushroom Swiss burger. They give you a cup of brown gravy to pour on the burger and it was so good! Messy but good! This was the first time my kids had ever been in the south and they loved our server. She had an accent and was quirky and fun. They thought she was great. I'm in the area visiting with family in Ozark. A few nights ago, I asked where we could go for lunch... my granddaughter recommend the Hillbilly Hideout. When I learned it was essentially a truck stop, I said "Truckers have no patience for sub-par food, lets go!" Well, I was not disappointed! We had a group of 8, no problems there... service was outstanding and the food was very good! If you want a dry, bland patty melt don't go to the Hillbilly Hideout! I was less than impressed. It's a truckstop with restaurant. They have a hot deli and sell Boars Head deli meat too. We had the beans, cabbage, potatoe and cornbread lunch special. I added 4 ribs as a la carte and they were small Cold an leftover from the day before. It was all lukewarm but tasted fine. I tried to get my waitress to come back and warm it but we only saw her twice during our meal. The menu had good choices and I'm sure on any other day it would have been a different experience but this trip was not that great. Next time we well order from the deli side. The waitress was overwhelmed but the place wasn't that busy so I have no thoughts on that. I'll try again. read more

It is what it is- a 24hr gas station diner. We got the catfish dinner to go- catfish was decent. Curly fries respectable. Onion rings- pass. It should be noted my boyfriend says the tartar sauce they made and serve with is hands down the worst thing he's ever attempted to eat. His disgust was certainly worth the laugh. read more

Food is really good here considering it's a restaurant in a gas station. I have ate here four times now as it is our lunch place when traveling to OKC. I had the Heavenly Hog sandwich. It is battered in funnel cake batter and deep fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar. It is awesome. The loaded fries are really good too. I have also had their burgers and they are good too. Nobody in our party has ever gotten bad food here. read more

The staff are fabulous and friendly, even at the height of the lunch rush. Our waitress Stacey was fast an efficient with a sure knowledge of the menu. Well who would have thought this little jewel would be hiding in a gas station? As a rule I don't ever eat in gas station restaurants. Technically, I guess this is a travel center. As my hubby was grabbing a bag of chips complaining about his hunger I saw a sign that said Boars Head meats. So I ventured over to the left and there is Hillbilly Hideout. We bellied up to the bar eyeing the burger a nice woman was eating. She stopped long enough to tell us they stop once a month because the food is amazing on their way to FAYETTEVILLE. Ok, so I got the burger and she was right it was yummy and big! My sweet husband ordered just about everything on the breakfast menu. Yes, although it was 8:30 pm they serve breakfast 24/7. He cleaned all 3 plates. He said everything was great but I was only brave enough to try the gravy for fear of being stabbed with his fork. That's real country gravy! The sweet tea is great! The homemade cakes and pies are amazing. Most of all everyone was getting excellent service from those country girls. (It's a lost art) We will be back! read more

Very good restaurant within a Truck Stop. Extremely clean, which is unusual for this sort of establishment. I believe it is fairly new. The food was exceptional, we were very pleased. They offered American Diner type food which is presented well. The waitresses were very good albeit a bit slow, because they were very busy visiting with the local diners, which is to be expected in this sort of place. We sat at the table for almost 10 minutes before we received a menu. It was at 12:30 on a Sat. and they were quite busy. With that said, once they came to take our order everything moved along quickly. They also offered beautiful homemade desserts. While normally we are not dessert eaters, we could not help ordering a piece of carrot cake to go. Food was fresh and absolutely delicious. If you want to avoid the usual fast food joints and the antique mom & pop diners while on the road, I highly recommend Hillbilly Hideout, if you can find it! read more

This is a great little truck stop and restaurant to stop at during the day. They have some cool knick knacks, lots of Razorback souvenirs, and lots of drinks and snacks to choose from. Today my husband and I decided to stop by and get sandwiches since he loves pastrami and this is one of the only places we've ever seen that has it as a meat selection for a sandwich. Granted, the sandwiches are on the pricey side, but it's Boar's Head meat, so that's to be expected. The sweet onion bread they have is awesome and their veggies are fresh. The only complaint I have is how long it took to make two subs, about ten minutes. However, apparently there's some type of event going on this weekend, so that might explain a little. We'll definitely be back through. read more
