This year she began to manifest some struggles with emotional and sensory regulation, and her teachers (Ms. Susan and Ms. Allie) and the staff (Ms, Heather and Ms. Brenda) have been very patient, supportive, and creative as we work on these challenges with them and other caregivers. My 3 year old started school at Clarksburg Little steps on opening day and he has grown into an independent, well-spoken, and determined 5 year old. He has been introduced to concepts in practical living that are life-long skills and will serve him well for years to come. He feels as he has the freedom to explore and extend his thinking in a safe, clean, and caring environment. At first I felt like the Montessori style seemed like magic that kids will roll out a mat and calmly work with a material, putting it away when they're done, etc. It of course takes time to teach them this, but I am a believer after seeing the progress our son has made. The teachers who and aides are fantastic and always greet you with a smile. We love that LHP keeps us updated through the Brightwheel app about our child's week. It's a wonderful and affordable alternative to full-time care. Honestly, if your child were in full-time daycare, you're paying for a two-hour nap. If your schedule allows, I highly recommend LHP! A few things to know as of 2025: -It's part-time(9:30a-1:30p). -Potty training is suggested prior to starting. -They host family sing-alongs around the holidays. -It's located in a synagogue, so you'll need to pack a kosher-friendly lunch. We are currently in our third year of going to LHP and we have zero regrets!
