At least the front of the building is photogenic. Did not spend much time at Helsingor station. Took a few photos. Grabbed some snacks at the 7-Eleven store located inside. Did not even wait long on our return trip to Copenhagen after visiting Kronborg Castle. My impression is that this is a fine station located in a charming town.

Board the boat and have a nice meal in the restaurant. Try some of the great local "Aquavit", like the Danish "Aalborg", the Swedish "Skåne" or the Norwegian "Linie". Traditionally, you should sing a song with each one, the locals will be happy to help if you invite them over. There is no need to disembark when the ferry reaches it's destination. Just remain seated and travel as many times forth and back as you want. Just remember to get off in the right country. The longer you have been on board, the harder it gets. A "tura" is once forth and back i.e. 2 trips, a "dubbeltura" is twice forth and back i.e. 4 trips and a 'trippeltura" is three times forth and back. Calculate approximately one hour for each tura. Note that you only need a one way ticket for each time you board the ship, so you can go as many times forth and back as you want on one ticket. A popular continuation of the evening is to get off the boat in Denmark and continue to one of many very cozy pubs and restaurants in Helsingør.

I found the unique room key bracelet was a nice touch, as well as the access to the gym and spa. A very clean, cozy hotel. Our first evening we made a reservation at the restaurant within the hotel, on the top floor. Although the menu was rather limited, the food was divine and far better than some of the hyped up restaurants within the city of Copenhagen. The food was absolutely delicious, we all practically cleaned our plates clean, as well as dessert. Overall, although quite a pricey stay, it was well worth it; a wonderful time here.

They also added more spaces for more bikes, which was much needed. During the weekday it could get quite crowded with bikes so the extra spaces are great! The station is a small one. There is no bathroom or kiosk around, so you'll have to find a morning coffee elsewhere. I've found quite a few times that the elevator doesn't work as well. So that could be a problem for someone. Other then that, it's just your typical station.

Everything was neatly prepared using seasonal commodities. The flaming dessert was a funny little way to end it all. Neatly done for a place that use to be a deserted ruin, but has been neatly rebuild to host this restaurant in the cellar. I will definitely return, maybe book a suite in the hotel upstairs, use the spa and dine a couple of times :-)
