This is also the biggest pet shop in County Road and one which has a decent variety of well looked after pets, accessories and food. The staff are always friendly and willing to help although at times you need to be patient before you get seen to, as it does get busy on occasions. If you are a lover of pets, this is a great place to come for a browse and be able to obtain tips and advice from knowledgeable staff. Personally, I have been to places that sell a wider variety of fish but if you're after reptiles or spiders for instance, then this is your Aladdin's cave!

Angela was recommended by a friend, so took Archie for a full groom and tidy up. She asked me exactly what I wanted and that was what I got, she did a great job and he looks very neat and handsome! They gave me lots of advice and have been very helpful before and after my purchase. They have many other species such as Geckos, scorpions, spiders, tortoise and their snakes are unreal! The Super dwarf Boa in particular was fantastic. A good part of the experience was that I was able to interact with the Chameleon (now called Carlos) and with the snakes. As an enthusiast I found this a really nice touch as you get a feel for the temperament of the animal. Overall, I can't rate this place highly enough since the new owners have taken over. If you want an exotic species, this is the place to go!

The viewing area is rather tight being in a confined space but the staff are really helpful in providing you advice and tips whether you're a beginner or not. They greet customers when they enter the shop and often have regular customers there too, which is always a good sign. If you're looking to exchange fishes here, you might just be able to strike up a good deal. Smithdown Aquarium is occasionally worth the effort, especially if you have a passion for pet fish.

Though the shop is small in size, they offer an adequate choice of common pets and accessories to keep you well equipped for your pet(s) welfare. I once bought some dog food for a friend of mine here and the price was cheaper than most other pet shops and stores I had compared with. In terms of the quality of dog food, I wouldn't say it's exactly Pedigree Chump but you can certainly find food that contains similar ingredients. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to assist. Whilst you will find nothing special at this shop, it still operates well as a 'no frills' pet shop which is popular with many locals.

They stock animal food, bedding, litter trays, cages, bowls, water bottles, perches, beds, collars, leads, carry cases, books, toys and much more. The staff are very helpful and happy to show you where items are. The products are reasonably priced but aren't quite as cheap as smaller independent pet shops, but the products are of an excellent quality. A great addition to the retail park.

I took my lovely lass apso into their groomers, and i can honestly say I was so shocked the way she…read morewas done. I asked for a 'teddy trim' and they took all her lovely coat off saying she was knotted and matted in places, she was NOT as i brush her every day and my regular groomer always puts her into a lovely 'teddy' so i didn't know what they problem was as she was only groomed 4 weeks ago. I couldn't get her in with my regular groomer, it was my fault for not making an appointment there and then. That is why i went here, and they charged me £42, I nearly choked as they said that she had a 'paw treatment' and something else treatment.. TERRIBLE please don't go here, they are not professional, and i don't believe for one min that they can groom all the different breeds to 'breed standard'.
