Great if you are a homeowner and looking for home improvement services and products from local business. Vendors are all really helpful and ready to answer questions. Tons of free parking. Not a bad way to spend a few hour with your family as Children admission is free. They do have a child playing area with a bouncing castle.

Walking in - I instantly wished I had brought an extra duffle bag. Between the aisles of pillows, the kitchen/dining section, and the picture frames - I was in heaven. Fortunately for Hubs they also have tons of furniture, so he was able to find a {super cute} chair up front to relax in while I wandered. B/c my luggage could not accommodate all that I had seen I settled on a really beautiful picture frame to commemorate our visit to Toronto. I found the selection of maternity and non-maternity stuff that works for maternity to be excellent. They have lots of different brands and styles and carry basics up to more fancy stuff, although I didn't really find good work stuff. It's not cheap so you have to go in expecting that you're going to drop some serious cash here, but the sale section does help. There's parking nearby across the street off of Scrivener Square.

There's ample room for someone wanting to do a solo show and big enough for a group show. I don't know the specifics about how much it would cost to organize a show there but since they promote independent artists, most of them being students, it might be worth looking into. Looking through their blog and reading about past exhibits, they seem to organize some thought-provoking and original shows. The show I visited last night had an urban exploration theme which included more than photography by the artists but also actual objects from the places they visited. It was really inspiring stuff to see.

Great place for bamboo and everything to do with bamboo. I also love the paper lanterns there, and if I had an apartment I'd totally decorate it with a bamboo or paper lantern umbrella.. it's just gorgeous. Love. LOVE. Love. Also, the prices are uber cheap. $0.89 for a little bamboo spoon! Most places like Williams Sonoma would charge you $3 because it's an "eco-friendly sexy product". Here, bamboo it is what it is -- a cheap, renewable, green resource. I also like that they're frugal and eco-friendly. They wrap whatever you buy in newspaper rather than give you a bag. Love.
