This place is amazing, honestly referring to it and the people that keep this place robbing as "amazing" is an understatement. The ladies running the front office are the sweetest but know hot to keep the show on the road. The nurses that assistance dentist adopt a sort sisterly vibe, they care to for you and your well being, they are with one from the begging to the ends. The doc, fairly certain he's was some kind of a wizard, no lie... just magically appears weird a calm cool attitude that couldn't need measured spending the entire time talking to you like you've been going fishing for years. My experience was not bad at all. The staff was very friendly and so was the dentist. We talked about what my concerns are and how they can get fixed, which was great because I knew that and wanted to see if he wanted to help me or just get paid. I need to get my crown replaced which is where my complain is. I have never had to call my dentist or doctor to see what my insurance said or even to make an appointment. I have called them three times and I keep getting told, "we will call you tomorrow with the information." I'm still waiting again. I wonder how many people have left because of this. Customer Service goes a long way and getting back to your patients let's them know you care. So, do they? read more

I don't know how to give this a 3 1/2 star, but they have a good hygiene dental clinic. But the disadvantage of this clinic is that's it's too pricy, and they keep on making excuses, and they have to reschedule your appointment. A really big disappointment. When I used to live in California, they were a lot of 4-5 star dentists, and they're not to pricy, and they don't reschedule your appointment most of the time. read more

Not always is a dentist appointment pleasant. I've recently switched to Hillrise Dental and after my first visit, I know it will be darn near impossible to experience an unpleasant visit. From the moment I walked into the clinic the friendly staff gave me a courteous welcome and I knew this was going to be different. With no time to spare I filled first time patient forms, and right as I was finished the hygienist called me into a room. There was ZERO wait time, a huge plus for me. All of the dentists are exceptional but I like Dr. Thompson and Dr. Espinoza. Dr. Ellis even let me watch Breaking Bad this is a big deal. I moved to Las Cruces from Florida and had a horrific experience at a dental office there. Ever since I had a crown put in by the dentist in Florida my face was swollen, my ear looked 5 times the size it was supposed to be and I was constantly having sinus problems. I thought I was crazy but when my family I moved here my dad found Hill Rise dental and he said that I'd like it and they'ed let me watch Breaking Bad. So, I made an appointment and I love them. Dr. Espinoza listened to my experience and symptoms and said to take out the crown and replace it with one made of crystal. Genius! I have always been sensitive to nickel in jewelry but never did I think about it in dentistry. I know this is long but I was in a VERY bad way before... thousands of prescribed antibiotics and anti antihistamines. Within, 72 hours my face went back to normal. No more sinusitis. Amazing! These people care. They listen. They help! I'm NOT done their staff is amazing! Debbie, Mariah, and Jackie. The BEST for last--- "Ronnie" (The dental Hygienist) She is so special. I'm NOT a morning person but if 7:30 is what's she got I'm there 10 minutes early(which never happens anywhere else) waiting eagerly to see my now, friend who greets me with a huge hug. Excellent experience with caring staff and Dr Thompson was very gentle with shots and explained as he went for my root canal and same day crown. When I got a little uncomfortable he stopped immediately and added a little more numbing agent. No pain after. read more

I don't know if "soft teeth" are a real thing, or if someone just told me that once because they felt bad that I felt bad for always (ALWAYS) having cavities. It's no wonder that a constant-cavity-having-gal like myself has never been particularly fond of visits to ye olde tooth doctor. About 6 months ago my boyfriend convinced me to try his dentist because, as he proudly put it, "They are THE best". So I went in begrudgingly, as it so often seems that my jumping from dentist to dentist is some strange contest to see how many trained professionals I can get to tell me "You've got a lot of fillings" (It's a terrible contest, and no one else is playing.) I agreed to go, and thus begun the BEST experience of my dental history. Let me tell you how it starts: You go in and are greeted by THE NICEST receptionist you ever did meet. Suzie will tell you that George will see you in just a moment. You may or may not even get the chance to sit down in the very comfortable, Wi-Fi provisioned and magazine stocked waiting room before being called back to see George. I'm aware that I've said the name "George" twice now, as if you know who he is or what he does. Let me fill you in (*high five for the dentist pun*). George is the most incredibly gentle, patient, and thorough hygienist that will ever work on your pearly whites. I promise you this. Take it from someone who has been poked and prodded countless times from behind countless protective glasses, in countless reclining chairs. George is the best. And nicest. And most talented hygienist you will ever encounter. He'll get you all set up and send in a Dr. Ellis, Dr. Thompson, or Dr. Straley. D'you know when you're at a restaurant with family and your dad has told the waiter it's your birthday because he just loves embarrassing you, and you know you're going to put up with the embarrassment of the singing and the clapping because you're assured, from years of this, that what follows is a free dessert? (*She doesn't know why she gets cavities, you chuckle*) You have no clue if it's going to be a lava-chocolate-brownie cake, or some red-velvet cheesecake, or maybe a decadent apple pie topped by a classic vanilla ice cream, but it doesn't matter. It's going to be awesome no matter what. Not knowing which of the three dentists is going to walk into the room is kind of like that. Kind of. Okay, pretty much just the bit about them all being really sweet and a welcomed surprise. (That analogy was a reach, I know, but I work with what I have). What I'm trying to say is that you're in good hands. Really good, really caring, really well-trained and dedicated hands. Such is the talent at Hillrise Dental under the attentive supervision of Dr. Ellis, Dr. Thompson, and Dr. Straley that this year I've convinced another four family members and friends to make Hillrise Dental their choice in quality dentistry. I have always appreciated the friendly staff in the front office, but feel Dr. Ellis needs to take a lesson from them. While unemployed and uninsured I went to Juarez for some major dental work. Dr. Ellis repeatedly made some very offensive comments about the quality of work and my bad judgment in using Mexican doctors. He did not know who my Juarez dentist was or his qualifications, (which BTW are more extensive than his.) Dr. Ellis also seemed insensitive about how hard it is to afford US doctors prices if you don't have insurance. I cannot patronize a business that is culturally insensitive, so my family and I will be changing dentists. read more
