They can seem a bit over zealous but it's certainly better than no one paying any attention. They were buzzing around topping up water every few minutes, clearing stuff away, and constantly checking if everything was okay or if there was anything else you needed. The food is basic but really flavoursome and good sized servings. We shared some wedges and then each had either steak or chicken for the main. Each came with their signature mushroom sauce too. You can tell its a chain type restaurant but the food is still really good, it doesn't cost a fortune, and its a great place to share a few drinks and a meal.

When in Rome, or in this case Tuscany or to be more specific Carlingford, we always seem to do what the Italians do and over order. A pizza (or two) to share between everyone, an entree each, a main of pasta each, a dessert each(the tirimasu seems to be the most popular option) and a coffee to help digest it down. Our starters were garlic crust pizza and bruschetta. We had four children as part of our group and they liked the pizza. The children's serve of spaghetti bolognese was generous and devoured. The deep fried doughnuts are not sfinchi but little thumbnail sized. They are served with chocolate and gelato. You don't have to be a kid to make an enjoyable mess eating it. There is a full bar but you can BYO for $5.50 per bottle. We got value with jugs of juice and soft drink. The service was good despite the place being packed. It is a very noisy restaurant. They have tried putting some sound abatement in the ceiling but it really doesn't cut down on much noise. Most tables were large and either had kids or just plain noisy speakers so it is a difficult job keeping the noise down. My advice? just be prepared as the food is good and worth a try. No problems with parking as this is a little shopping centre with two levels and there are side streets.

We emailed menulog and asked for a refund. That took forever because they couldn't get In Contact with the restaurant. The restaurant refused to give a refund or reimburse the missing items. I spoke directly to the restaurant after hearing this decision and they asked why I waited 3 weeks to contact them. I explained that I ordered through menu log and they were waiting for a response from the restaurant . Meanwhile the woman was yelling obscenities in the background in Italian (yes, I speak Italian too) and then the guy hung up on me. When I tried calling back they wouldn't answer and then got their junior employee to talk to me and say they had gone even though I could hear what they were telling her in the background. I am absolutely disgusted in their lack of professionalism and even if I couldn't get a refund they refused to honour the missing items. The "partners" seem to be very defensive even though they have made a mistake. I followed the right protocols but was treated like crap. I don't appreciate the rudeness and will certainly not be ordering from here again. Just to be clear we have ordered from here several times before without an issue But that doesn't seem to be taken into account by the company. I have written evidence of my attempt at seeking a resolution through menulog. In spite of this they think I am wrong because I didn't call them directly. Customer service is clearly not high on their priority list when it comes to dispute resolution. Save your money and go anywhere else.
