Hillsboro Antique Mall - Number 1 twice. - Antiques Near Me - Margate, Florida

If you can imagine it, chances are, you will see it for sale at the Hillsboro Antique Mall. Indoor and outdoor decorating galore, there was so much to see even if I didn't buy anything. I loved the iron park bench with the kiddies sitting on it, but for over $2000, it was just fine to walk away. I saw a 6 foot tall Santa as well as unique furniture and lots of bric-a-brac. If you plan to buy anything heavy, I suggest parking on the east side parking lot and use that entrance. read more

We have been visiting Hillsboro Anytime Mall for over a decade and have never left empty handed. The place is huge so we always go with plenty of time to browse each isle in detail. Since it's so big, it could get overwhelming so we focus on visiting isle by isles instead of walking randomly. They have gorgeous blown glass pieces, vintage purses, glass Christmas ornaments, and pretty much everything in between. There are always ladies that work there near by, when you find a piece you like, you handed to them and they give you a number, when you are ready to pay, give the cashier your number and they charge you for all your treasures. Needles to say, I will continue to visit this unique mall! Pro tip: This mall is located in the grounds of Festival flea market so there is plenty of free parking. read more

It made me feel like I was walking into grandmas house , dang I recognized some of the stuff there . I saw an old phone we had and the glass Christmas tree someone gave me that I was going to trash sold for 100.00 I really don't care for antiques at all as I don't like Nicknacks and am a minimalist. I have come here every couple months since I moved here a year and a half ago. I'm a lover of antiques and there's not much love for that in all of Florida like there is in California and New York. I recently came this past weekend and noticed there was a lot of new dealers! And more coming in cleaning up/setting up their booths. Less empty booths now. There is more variety of things available, instead of the booths having just about the same things in their booths and having a price war on what they have. I'm glad the owner of the mall noticed this and has brought more variety to the buyers. Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't notice most of the dealers were "obvious men because of the car stuff." But everyone has a different eye for things and maybe I missed it. Maybe they got rid of those dealers? However, there are still some dusty booths that have obviously been sitting there. I haven't bought anything since last December. But as you know with antiques, it's always a hit and miss. What you can find ,that I've noticed, are a lot of dishes(fiesta, Pyrex, teacups, depression glass, bit of cast iron) jewelry and knickknacks. A bit of Cowboy boots. Some clothes, purses, and a good amount of fur. I also noticed there was a new seller, for vintage action figures. Some furniture which I noticed some were for an outrageous amount. There is a corner in the back that had lamp posts that had a "sold" tag on it in December and I come to find this past weekend they were still there with the "sold" sticker on it. For the most part, the price of the items sold here were reasonable. They weren't too far out of reach where it was like a museum with luxury prices. Which is why I like this place so much. There's a price point for everyone and with the variety, anyone can find anything. I didn't get anything this past weekend but I still love coming here and seeing what sellers have found and reading the tags about its history. One suggestion I have is more advertisement on the booths on the Facebook page, or Instagram to know what's available out there. read more

The Hillsboro Antique Mall claims to have been the first to have brought the mega-mall concept to the antique market and when you see it, you'll know why. With over 35,000 feet of floor space and over 250 dealer booths, it's just plain huge with about every type or kind of antique you can think of from primitives to late mid-century Lucite. The setup is basically one of booths or stalls of individual dealers with each dealer having its own, if any specialty. Hence there is any particular order to it. So if you're looking for something specific, you're generally going to have to search it out which can actually be a lot of fun. If I would have any tips to offer one would be to plan on spending a lot of time as each booth is crammed with items which will take time to look over. The other tip would be to have some idea of what you are doing, the values, nature and qualities of any items that interest you. read more

It's a big antique mall and fairly well organized. It's very overpriced though and they won't negotiate. The day I was there, any item OVER $25 was 10% off and one of my items was $25 so it didn't qualify. They have all these clerks wandering around and following you which is kind of annoying. Some are nice but not all of them. It's located in Festival Marketplace which is a dump and the antique mall isn't clearly marked/easy to find. There aren't many antique malls in South Florida so it's something at least. read more

Loads of fun to wander this huge antique mall with some good pieces, some reproductions, and everything in between. You need to know your antiques and collectibles! Prices are all over the place but maybe rent is high because some were beyond ridiculous and we know the business. It would take days to see everything and we look forward to a return visit. excited from the time i walked in.....SOOO much stuff to see, soooo much to want to come home with me! biggest disappointment about this place is that it is GROSSLY OVERPRICED!!! i mean ridiculously expensive. you can see that a lot of the stuff has been sitting there for a long time because of the dust accumulation. it's not worth the price if somebody isn't willing to pay for it. i get it, these people are there to make money, but when i compare prices of items in this place to the exact same item, say on ebay, it is way cheaper on ebay even with shipping. i found lots of stuff, but ended up buying the items on ebay at one fourth the cost. neat place but no need for me to return read more

If you are not familiar with the antique mall concept, it's basically little booths that individuals rent out to sell their vintage items. This location is huge. Probably about the same size as a Publix supermarket. It is packed to the gills with antiques and retro items that is sure to spark some sort of nostalgic feeling. Price ranges so don't let the word antique scare you. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg here. On my last trip I scored some old postcards and added to my 1960s Pyrex collection all for under $20 bucks! The staff is extremely helpful and they know the store very well. I asked one of the ladies where a particular item would be and she basically gave me a map of four different booths that would have it. In addition to being open daily, every third Saturday they hold a festival in the parking lot for additional sellers. read more

It's located within the Festival Flea Market Mall and has always been a source of the old, elegant, and odd. I've known the Hillsboro Antique Mall for decades-- they used to have a different location in Deerfield and my mom and I used to explore their wares, occasionally finding a Bing & Grondal plate that she didn't have already. The selection is still good, and the subject matter varies greatly these days-- there are vendor booths who sell independently through the shop in addition to the shop owners. I've seen items ranging from pop culture memorabilia to fine china to vintage coats to antique medical tools and more. If you like browsing the old and uncommon, it's a good place to check out. read more

In all my years here I never knew this was here...... I knew the festival flea market was here but I was never aware the antique mall was tucked in on the east side of the building. Typical of most antique malls, but this location seemed to be stocked with goods from the New York, New Jersey area. Lots of Lladro, tapestries and china everything seemed to be in great condition and priced reasonable. I was asked several time if I needed help as I wandered through the isles. read more

I used to love this place, but it seems this pandemic has everyones screws a little loose. The vendors all jacked their prices up (WAY up). I understand times are tough, but this goes for shoppers as well. Unfortunately, you can find some of the same items for hundreds of dollars less on eBay or craigslist/ Facebook marketplace. Antiquing used to be fun, it was fun to find deals and get excited about them. Times have changed, you're better off going and digging in less populated areas at smaller shops I guess. Located at the east entrance of the Festival Flea Market this place is just incredible. Every inch is crammed with anything you can think up. Prices range from $1 to thousands of dollars. I treat it more like visiting a museum than a store. However if you have the money anything can be yours. The mall is filled with individual vendor booths. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how things are set up which depending on how you view it can make it seem more like a treasure hunt or just leave you feeling extremely frustrated. So many items here remind me of paying my Grandma a visit. Some of the items you can find here are vintage jewlery, fiesta ware, china, Tiffany lamps, paintings, Hummels, depression glass, furniture, garden statues, toys, figurines, chandeliers, comics, records, and endless other items. If you can think of it someone here has it. Actually finding it may be another matter. They are even open on Christmas Day in case you forgot to buy someone a gift. Two of the stranger things I saw today was an extremely graphic Japanese erotica painting and a real human skull for $1,800.00. Wow! This place has A LOT of stuff! Came here planning to do a quick browse and literally could have spent hours in there. They are filled with antiques and vintage items. I have this very nostalgic feeling as I walked down the isles. So many items reminded me of things I had seen in my grandparents houses as I was growing up. There are old telephones, vinyl albums, clothes, furniture, purses, jewelry, pictures, cups, plates etc... I wish they were organized a bit better though. That's my only knock...that they would have all of the like items together. I think it has to do with who has items that are in each area (the dealers) although I'm not sure. This is my favorite place to shop with almost everything that is classy, nice, unique, and most of all beautiful pieces of jewelry and top designer purses. I have also bought couples of antique furniture which I get a lot of compliments. No wonder, I have invested a good amount in this store because it is an amazing place to find treasures! The staff are very helpful and especially Renee and Christiana, they are phenomenal ladies who make you feel at home and very accomodating. I do like this antique mall and they have almost everything from vintage toys to vintage glass and large pieces of antique furniture. The only complaint I have is that this place is operated by sections that are owned by people individually. Ie: one numbered "block" is owned by one dealer and prices may vary. Like if you're looking for posters.... they will be ALL over the place because of that- not all in one spot. Which was kind of a drag. But at least I got to explore the rest of the place because of that which took me about 2 hours to look around to find what I was looking for. Plus- they do not do returns.... so check your items carefully before you get them rung up! It is an antique store after all- some chips and tears are inevitable! read more

Large-ish section in the indoor "flea-market" (which will make most NYC transplants think of the cheap knick-knack knock-off store strip on Canal St. in Chinatown) with various stalls of "antiques." Very few stalls have actual furniture- most of them have medium to small collections of old oogatz (Italian slang for "junk") and trinkets from various tourist trades. A few stalls have true antiques, though (one had an actual -not replica- Chinese medicine chest), but it is mostly yard sale cast-offs. Fun for a trip back to the '40s, but there was almost nothing there over 100 years old... perhaps junk sales should look up the word "antique." read more

What a great place! Amazing finds and treasures of all kinds. Everything is pretty well organized (as much as an antique store can be!) and the employees in the red shirts roaming around are very helpful. Remember though that the dealers (who are rarely present at their booths) will not negotiate on price if an item is under $25 (this was told to me by one of the red shirts.) Either way - I left with a few very special vintage Disneyland treasures (I have a pretty sweet collection, and it's hard to find any vintage Disneyland items nowadays!) This place is absolutely worth an afternoon treasure hunt! read more

For all you Hillsboro Antique Mall Vendors, you're losing money and business daily. I asked the front desk to get in touch with a vendor regarding a large purchase I wanted to make since they would not negotiate on price. I asked if they would call the vendor. They wouldn't call the vendor, and they wouldn't give the vendor my message to discuss. They said sorry they wouldn't call the vendor. This is for over a $25 purchase. Shame on them. Money lost.
